Just a tip when hitting the steering stem with a hammer, screw the nut down flush, this will protect the treads. Once it breaks loose, remove the nut.

I see you did regresse the outer “races” if you will of that bearing is there a reason you didn’t repack the inside of the bearing or was it too much of a hassle with bearing still on the steering stem? Just curious!

I’m having a little trouble understanding what part exactly you are talking about. I did pack both the lower and upper bearings with grease but the lower one I left on the clamps while packing it. The races themselves I just throw grease on to help make sure there aren’t any dry spots when the bearing gets installed.

It looked like you just covered it and sent it. Have you ever packed a trailer bearing?? They are similar the grease goes inside those rollers and keeps them lubed u probably did pack then it just probably got cut from video cause it’s ungodly messy ! Awesome vid though.

What C is saying is he thinks it’s better to scoop the grease out of your hand like a spoon. It packs the grease into the bearing way more thoroughly than just spinning the rollers with grease. That’s how trailer bearings and wheel bearings in general are packed if not using the bearing grease tool. This is just a steering bearing though so it won’t see the spinning forces of a wheel bearing. But great vid thanks for the demo, I need to do that

The order of your front wheel axel and pinch bolt tightening is incorrect. You can pinch in the front leg and cause binding if you allow it to free float on the axel before tightening pinch bolts. You also didn't torque one side
