Welcome to the process of kitbashing. The end result here actually looks surprisingly coherent. Like if you didn't know the gun arm and digitigrade legs (if you didn't know, this is how the hindlegs of many animals work - they walk on their toes) were from different mechs originally, it looks like the claw arm is the only modified part on here. In-universe that makes me think that what was originally a very lightweight, maybe even just scout mech lost its right arm and the pilot had to improvise and salvage a crane claw, repurposing it into a shockingly devastating melee weapon. If that thing was said to grab, spin and ultimately core out an opposing mech's cockpit, I'd believe it.
