Z (1969) - review

This is one of my favourite movies. I was fortunate to be exposed to it very young, as a 16 or 17 year old when the film was shown at our school by our film club. I don't know who chose the movie or why but it had an indelible effect upon me. I grew up in a political household, my parents were members of one of the main political parties here in Australia and my father even ran for office at one point, but I also followed current affairs and read history books so I guess I was informed enough to follow the ideas expressed. One thing not mentioned in the review is the epilogue. Although I've watched the film a few times I always feel shocked watching those final scenes. They remind me not to take our democratic rights for granted.
