⁠​⁠@@mrshaheedmaliknot going to lie - the msc is a fab bit of kit, and the ef mount on the 6K is ace, although being optimised for studio use means not particularly rugged and no battery power so I can’t take it out and about, which is my personal use case for these things. I never knew I could be so enamoured of a big tally light, though :)

As an amateur I bought ZCAM E2 when it came out and had a great time with it :) I had to deal with their support and they have been flawless.

All cameras should now come with CFexpress Type B cards. They are extremely fast, and they have come down in price to the point where the price per GB is lower than CFexpress Type A, CFast, and premium SD cards.

I'd be very surprised if you couldn't capture externally to an Atomos Ninja V+ with Angelbird AtomX SSDs like their other models. Albeit, I say that while still working on a yearslong support ticket for not being able to get usable 4K120p footage on my E2-M4, and neither Atomos nor Z-CAM will own up.

Wow Z Cam. Wow. I may swap my S6 for this. But man I was really hoping this would have 12bit 4444. That’s a huge disappointment for me because I’m looking to go back to a 12bit camera. I miss Blackmagic for that reason but this may still be worth it

Global shutter. That's the big feature you're paying a couple thousand extra for. The E2-S6 has a rolling shutter like most cinema cameras under ~$5K, which is fine if you're not doing fast pans or filming fast-moving objects like cars. Global shutters read every pixel at the same time, so there's no "jello" skew regardless of how fast the camera is moving.

Of course there is, the body is the same as all other Zcams, they just dont recommend ssds in general to use, simple as that.

@@marcus3d The reason they don't recommend recording to an SSD is because the connection isn't secure. You can easily/mistakenly unplug the cable and ruin your shot. It would be cool is someone was able to made a more secure, lockable USB-C port.

@@nebukadnezzar3578 for that amount of money, there are plenty of other better options.. zcam image quality is okay at best… this won’t sell many at that price.. Professionals are not stupid to buy zcam.. they have enough Money to buy red Komodo, why bother with chineses zcam company

@@nebukadnezzar3578 for 4k? it's not the price thats an issue, its what you're getting for 4k. Keep in mind the E2 M4 is 1500 bucks and can record 4k 60. No Z cam camera can record internal raw, the Z raw is still a pain in the ass to use, and for 4k you can get a Mavo edge 6k...
