The food and dining experience is much better with Eva business vs Cathay. However, Cathay & Sakura lounges are so much better than Eva’s. Eva lounge at Taipei can only be described as peasant, or snack lounge. Also, for those who drinks, Eva business serves Hennessy XO to go with their lobster and sea bass dining. Cathay only has Johnny Walker Black and VSOP, no comparison. United Polaris lounge has excellent dining like a restaurant’s made to order section. However, dining experience during the flight is poor. Also United’s flight attendants do not work or service as diligently as the Asian counterparts. Bathrooms are dirty during the flight and often run out of toilet and hand towels. Flown on the old Delta business but not the new Delta One, will say nothing for now As to Singapore Airline, only flew their Economy and WAS NOT impressed by their service onboard. Food are served in paper containers like a to go box, comparable to dog food. Will try their business class next. Tough choices, food and service during the flight vs quality of their lounges. My biggest disappointment is Eva Taipei lounge, it was such a peasant experience. Biggest surprise was also with Eva during the flight with their excellent dining experience and service. Btw, Eva’s business class bathroom on the plane is about 40-50% larger than United/Delta/American/Cathay’s Happy CHINESE New Year
