Encvldrrm they didn’t train in korea or by the company. The members were good with dancing and singing and that’s why they were picked to be in the group. And that zpop shit is bullshit. They’re trying to be a Kpop group because Kpop rn is very popular.

Debuting with English song is smart becuase they are not familiar with kpop industry that much. And I think singing in Korean would sound cringey and I wasn't expecting much but then I saw it was in English and I was really happy. They got me supporting them!❤

The members are actually familiar with Kpop. A lot of the members has auditioned for companies but didn’t make it. They even have covers of them doing Kpop songs.

Probably they would realise Korean song in the future and I'm curious about that but at first they need to find their place in music industry. Still we will support them no matter what❤

@@HI-hb5yf The members like kpop but they are outsiders to the industry and especially being all foreigners it wouldn't work out to try and debut without knowing the language. As far as some members auditioning, it's not surprising. So many people audition and are rejected by companies, including various idols that were finally given a shot. Mahiro was in a Japanese group.

its Zenith Media Content who has the project called Z-Pop Dream Project, (yes, Z stands for Zenith, the company initials). Zenith is incorporated in South Korea, but u may dig it up more that the management levels are consist of Japanese as well and its international company (it has overseas branches in HK). And for this particular project they pursue worldwide market to engage with non korean members, since they already have their own artist who all the members are Koreans (Wanna.B, etc.). Also i heard that this project only will last for a year. Idk for sure.

So true, and I believe that the reason for this is because most K-pop entertainment industries, these days, select and debut idol groups based only on their looks and not the actual talent, where as in Z-pop they give more attention to the talent, and honestly if K-pop industries are only going to pick their stars based on what they look like, then I swear it's going to go down the toilet someday......just my opinion.......

I think even though Zboys and Zgirls debuted under a South Korean company, they have their own style which is why they are singing in English. Although they are technically Kpop, I think they just created their own style to prove that there’s different music and styles in all aspects of Asia. Since they are in Korea, I’m sure they are learning the culture and the language, I think they just wanted to showcase their differences. Kind of how NCT is doing with WAYV, even though NCT is a South Korean group, they are still doing projects to represent different cultures just in a different way. Hope this makes sense :)

Thing is kpop isn't a genre it's an industry and even if many group members have international members there's always that Korean element ie. Members, language or anything conceting it to the whole "hallyu wave" (other than their agency ofc. ). Their agency is smart with avoiding the kpop tag since the industry as itself is just so saturated that even now actual Kpop groups are struggling to stay on top and with them wanting to create something new and fresh in the industry in general since each generation is getting more multi cultural.

Yeah i feel like in some ways you can almost think of it like the NCT situations, like how they released Regular in English first as they meant it to be an international release, before the Korean & WayV's Chinese version follow suit. It's kinda smart as well not to force their way to release it as Korean because they might be judged harsher if they didn't do it properly (some of the members haven't got adequate Korean speaking skills) plus most of the attention so far are coming from international fans anyway. So looking at how the label wants this project to be this is actually make more sense 🙂

You're actually right on the point where they're a 'social experiment' project on multi-national Asian idol groups, however it's also true that they're planning to get into k-pop scene as well (i mean their label are from Korea, they trained like k-pop trainees/idols & they've also been learning Korean). You can see their pre debut variety show on their youtube channel for clearer picture btw. It seems like this is also more of a 'testing the water' situation where the label wants to know the fans/public reaction, and so far it's been pretty good, at least from international fans point of view. From what i've heard & read so far they're about to release the Korean version of both songs (with probability of several other languages as well), so let's see what's next for them. Like you said these are two very well executed songs/MVs so maybe they really are onto something serious here 🙂 PS: the one that shook you with her high note is my fellow countrymen Vanya from Indonesia 😀

Although i've read somewhere that this specific project was also made like this because they wanted to see how Koreans would perceived/react & whether they'll be accepting if such thing happened in k-pop. Which is make sense if you think about it with how homogeneous k-pop have been & how tough it has been for foreigner k-pop artists with all the public/fan stereotypings on several aspects (visuals, talents, even race at some point). I didn't mean to said it like they're only some sort of 'experimental rabbits', they're all properly packed with all kinds of talents & visuals plus like i said the label seems to be serious about this project, so yeah it's not like they're only doing it for 'experimental' sake only. But do correct me if i'm wrong, that's basically my understanding from what i've read.

Btw no worries for the confusion it's multiple articles fault for using the whole kpop tag that made a lot of people confused even though the company from the begin stated they weren't doing kpop and didn't plan on it either. From the statements I've seen and read from the company, the gg members and fans alike it's like they are starting their own business since ie. Kpop is an industry not an actual genre. From their name "Z" as in generation z It's based on how each new generation is getting more multi cultural, so it's like creating a place for multi nationals who want to be idols with the help of the Korean music industry but want to market to an international audience. They aren't marketing to the Korean audience and I doubt they ever will even if all the members become fluent in korean. If they do end up with kfans then yay but that's not their target. *Extra.* Imo (and it is purely my opinion and not facts) the girls do seem more "on it"(?) in a sense than the guys. They have outstanding vocals, confidence, visuals that grab u immediately and just general stage presence I felt I missed from the boys. Then again it might be just the song and set they got or it's just the bg fatigue that's been going around lately.

Well since no one else is talking about ONF, We Must Love is the first song I heard from them and I heard it first from its chorus which was absolutely addicting. Especially Hyojin's(orange hair) vocals during that first chorus got me like, wow I need to listen to this and when I did, I realized the entire song was a bop. That music production was on point and their dancing was smooth. The editing and cutting, whoever did an amazing job. That breakdown was amazing and J-Us's "saranghage dwel geoya" during that was killing. The members all did a great job but Hyojin and Wyatt probably the most, especially with the former's high note.

(really long comment) omg thank you for reacting to two of my ult groups!! we must love was filmed in hongkong and vietnam!! the mv’s concept is about time travel, specifically about one of the members being lost in spacetime and the others looking for him. i’d totally recommend watching onf’s other mvs (ON/OFF and Complete) in order to better understand the plot. both zgirls and zboys have viet members (queen and roy, respectively). the really young member of zboys is Blink, the thai member; the member of zgirls who hit the high note is Vanya, the indonesian member! and yeah, i do hope they release a korean song soon!

They are now intruducing a new genré of music which is called ZPop music. If KPop is basically centered in South Korea, ZPop on the other hand is centered in all of Asian countries. There will be more ZPop artists coming out as time progresses because the company will be having more auditions all throughout Asia. They’ll be singing also their own native languages, but for now their very first debut song will be in English. ah, i feel bad for only watching your ONF reaction, i'm pretty sure the Z-groups are great but as a multifandom there's just so lil groups i can get into and fully support them, right now my count is at 13 or 15-ish and i really don't want to add more. With that being said, i'm glad you like We Must Love :D i suggest you listen to ONF side tracks maybe you'll find them more to you liking, also the main 3 MVs of ONF are connected and tell a story (ON/OFF, Complete and We Must Love), even some of us Fuses are confused as to in what order or what kind of story it is but is still something nice and makes you appreciate the MVs more when you watch them for a second time. I like z-boys/z-girls, the choreo is good, the voices are good and since they all look different theirs's a visual for everyone's tastes, also I agree if they were promoting as a kpop group I would be mad abt no Korean being used but since their not its fine. Also i'd like to say about EXP they actually put in a lot more effort considering they actually learned Korean, so they I guess can call themselves a kpop group. Congrats on 100k btw!!!
