As techniques evolve and jiujitsu becomes more and more detailed, it is important to distinguish certain techniques. At a high level these details and different approaches do make a difference. I understand where you are coming from, but in sport jiujitsu I disagree. To a non striker a kick is a kick. Why make a difference between a body kick or low kick? Or better yet a low kick and a calf kick? Then beteen a thai low kick or Dutch low kick? Do you see my point?
