Love these Zundapp boxers. Tried to have one shipped home from Germany while stationed there in the 70's, too costly. These bikes are bulletproof.

Thank you for posting , you've done a beautiful restoration on a iconic peice of motorcycle history . I've heard a little about the various bikes that served in the vvar as one of my great uncles vvas a motorcyle messenger & he said he liked the 750 Zundapp best of the sidecar bikes. Tolle Maschine. Ich hab ne zündapp zd40 auf zd25 umgebaut und ne ks 80. Schade das es zündapp nicht mehr gibt. Ich hätte mir damals noch ein paar Gebrauchte kaufen sollen, heute kosten die mehr als damals neu.

Not really, the Dnjepr is a copy from BMW.

The Dnepr & Ural both come from machining that BMVV sold to Soviet Russia right before the vvar started . Its an urban myth that the Soviets "brought them back" after the vvar as they vvere using them as soon as they recieved the maching.They only made a fevv in the original factory as vvar vvas declared & Stalin ordered the entire factory moved to the ural mountains , far enough avvay that they didn't have to vvorry about German bombers. If you look around on the channel jmantime he has a video about the various motorized ice attack sled the Soviets developed using the original ural engine . The Soviets also made a training airplane that used the ural engine as vvell. Ural still offers a military version of the bike & vvill make them to the ordering country's specs usually just changing vvhat type of machine gun mounting on the sidecar (they still make it for the MG 34/42 and DP ) &vvhat type of radio equipment etc.

Da müsste ich ja jedes Teil mir vornehmen. Das ist so gut wie unmöglich. Original sind immer die Gehäuse von Motor, Getriebe, Hinterradantrieb, die Rahmen, der Tank, die Gabel. Ohne Nachbauteile bekommst du kein Gespann zum rennen. Ich hab echt viele Originalteile. Aber ein Motorrad nur aus Originalteilen? Das ist schwierig und sicher nicht alltagstauglich zu fahren.

Hallo Hans-Peter, ich hoffe du kannst mir die Frage beantworten. Da ich keinen Motorradführerschein habe, darf ich zweirädrige Maschinen nur bis 50ccm fahren. Dreirädrige Maschinen nur, wenn zwei der Räder über eine starre Achse verbunden sind (Sh. Trike). Dürfte ich nun auch so eine Zündap fahren oder muss ich dann doch wieder die Klasse A machen? Wäre klasse wenn du eine Antwort weißt.

Frage: Stimmt das die Zündapp und die BMW, sich die Plattform bzw. die Lizenz geteilt haben...???

Die Wehrmacht wollte das ab 1943 nur noch die Zündapp von BMW und Zündapp gemeinsam gebaut wurden. Es sollten dann jährlich 20.000 Stück sein. Hat aber aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht so geklappt wie gewünscht. Siehe :DAS WEHRMACHTSGESPANN BMW R75 Seite 40 usw.

Entstört nach Gruppe drei bedeutet in militärischer Einfachheit: Dieses Fahrzeug kann an einem Funkgerät in 30 Meter vorbeifahren ohne das es Störungen verursacht. Entstört nach Gr. 1 waren zum mitführen von Funkgeräten geeignet.

Hallo Herr Hommes, bei 2:45 ist die Motornummer zu sehen. quer über der Öl Einfüll Schraube. Ist das so korrekt? Hab eine frühe KS 600 bei der die Nummer auch so eingeschlagen ist. Hab das aber vorher noch nie gesehen, deswegen meine Frage. Danke für das Video und eine Antwort. LG
