The Phase delay is meant to set your sub to the same phase as your speakers. If the phase is reversed, they cancel out the bass from your other speakers/subs. If they match, they amplify.

fuck, I played the same track on my KRK Rokit 5s, turned the volume up... and that superlow end was simply not played. A soft, quiet, "tump tump tump". very quiet, so gentle that I could barely feel it touching the cones with my fingers. that sub would have broken my fingers.

5:03 - LPF meaning low-pass, as in the lows get past. Therefore it's how fast the sub rolls in at the crossover freq. 12dB vs 24dB depends on a number of factors, probably want to use 24dB at higher crossover freqs (~80Hz). Might also depend on your speakers too; If they're big, you'll be crossing over lower and the speakers will roll-off a bit slower, therefore maybe 12dB makes sense.

I use the Line in on my FV15HP, lower noise floor and just overall better and cleaner bass with a 2db bump without touching the gain at all. check with measurements in REW. go over to AvsForum and look at the Rythmik Audio thread if you ever keep this sub. i also have an Minidsp 2x4 which gives me an insane amount of control of what's going on especially when used along with REW - Room EQ Wizard.

Very excellent and entertaining reviews. A step above the rest for sure. I just recently came across you while researching new subwoofers. My final 2 picks were between the rythmik fv15hp and monolith 15. (Although the fx15 you have looks amazing as well.) I'm torn between the two. @jm-vq4cm Rythmik is on another level when it comes to performance and sound quality. Rtyhmik is what is known as a "sound quality" sub whereas Hsu is classed as a "spl sub," meaning it's louder but it's lacks the detail and smoothness. HSU is more comparable to SVS.

The speaker knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the speaker from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the speaker is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by Rythmik. However, the speaker must also know where it was. The speaker guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the speaker has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

You should try other positions for the sub. Beside the seat f.e. Also you should try different positions for the ports/membrane to exhale to. In a corner it's always not the best position exept you have a Klipschorn wich has to be in a corner to work properly.

@@djambush360 If it matters, it is a sealed sub- REL HT/1205. Facing the TV, to the immediate right is a wall. Center is an entertainment center- I could try to squeeze it under it (tight fit.) I have space to the left of the entertainment center which is a few feet to the left of the TV but this is more of an open area. The living room goes into the hall and kitchen. Also, do I need a MiniDSP for a single sub and does it stay connected at all times? Some suggested you only need it for multiple subs. The 1205 does not have onboard DSP. Good news is I am not too picky and I listen low volumes. I just want to nicely round out the bottom end and hear some nice base lines. Thanks!

I agree about the website. They don't give a sh*t. Me like. They focus on a superior product. The F12 is amazing- at an amazing price. Not completely convinced about it being a true servo sub. I don't believe it has an accelerometer. They use a different technique. Bottom line, they still sound great so it doesn't matter but again technically, it's not a true servo sub. I studied Elec. Engineering. That said, Rythmik is the way to go. Nice warranty as well.

@@fadingbeleifs Meh- bunch of hype IMHO. I learned about that tech and this is not it. It is not fully implemented- more about marketing...like putting a turbo sticker on a non-turbo car. They are fine amps. If they were not so pricey I would have bought one. If you do, you have to buy a higher end model to get better tone. I ended up with a REL I got for a steal from Best Buy- open box or something. I want to say $500'ish and it sounds fantastic. I bought/auditioned a $1,600 KEF sub first and actually like my new one more. KEF is great though if space is tight. It packs a punch for it's small size. That said, you can't get around physics.

@@L.A.W.Studios For music only, tight, clean bass which sub do you recommend and 8, 10 or 12, sealed or unsealed? Their F12 Rythmik looks pretty sweet. Their pricier subs use class A/B power. The value F12 for $869 uses Class D. Far more efficient that I like. I don't think I would hear a difference. Maybe on a chart A/B is musically better but not by much but you are the expert. What do you think?

Can you use a small DAC like a Scarlett with a sub like this or do you need a HT receiver? EDIT: I should clarify, I use a Scarlett 2i2 to my Behringer A500 to my JBL Studio 530s. How would I go about incorporating a sub into this setup? Sorry in advance for the noobie question.
@ZReviews
@ZReviews 7 жыл бұрын
You would have to split the output on the scarlett. Just send TS down to RCA for this sub.

This will pressurize your room until it explodes. This is an excellent sub. It's only rival is the svs sub and even then I prefer rythmik.

Hello Z, after watching this video I am now not sure what to get the SVS PB 2000 or the Rythmik LVX 12. I have read many reviews but the diference is that you have had the opportunity to listen to them. Just wich one would you go for. I mostly listen to movies. Thanks. Ready to pull trigger, literately waiting on your take. Thanks

Just an idea , that kind of movement can be predicted if Speaker and its behavior is known to the Amp, you just needs a smart amp, there is an idea for a brand Akustica Smart Amp's. I would pay 1000$ for that

I could bloody hell feel it rumble through my headphones, ear canals and straight in my brain! That is one violent mega-sub. Think it's way too big for your place if you were to buy them for keeps. Would be a shame not to be able to use it to it's full capacity. The bass would definitely reach and shudder up to a couple of rooms within and up/down your apartment block.

I'm not convinced that the "stupid" movie clip is sub-20hz. I'm getting a fair representation of the low frequency on my genelec 7060...which goes down to only 19hz. And I hear the resonances through my mains, which is a new experience.
