hi. l am from Zürich and I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay here. I don't go out in to the hart of the city as much anymore due to school but you just made me appreciate it way more, these are things that you take for granted when you are used to them but it is always good to take a step back and look at it from the outside. i dont speak german. can i communicate in english if i visit zurich? in restaurant , menu or in the hotel?

Definitely! Especially in the Old Town area, most people will be able to understand English, and signs/menus will usually have English versions.
