Taiwan is the only place where people throw that stupid UFO spinner shot. No real pocket, no stored energy for the ball to drive through the pins. Just a fast ball that spins and depends on random pin action for strikes. How effective is it? Every other nation in the world uses a hook ball. All the top pros in the world work on their rev rate and attack angle. Meanwhile the Taiwanese continue to throw this easy, "pretty good" style that will get respectable scores, but is not actually competitive. Get your head out of the sand and stop pretending the spinner style is competitive with hook balls. Is it a horrible form? No, a spinner bowler can beat a hook ball bowler, especially on tough oil patterns. But overall it is a style that depends on luck. If you want to argue with me, show me a few spinner bowlers who are on the PBA competing with the world's best bowlers and succeeding. You can't, because there are none.
