I did my clutch and all bushings last week, I can say it's a big difference in my g37. Love getting to walk around and view the cars in the showroom while I waited for them to bring out the parts. Very friendly and informative crew

I just installed this kit myself as well as the z1 diff cover. I did this in my garage and it took about 10 hours. It's a lot of work. Its a tedious job. You have to remove the exhaust and rear sway bar to make room for the diff. The hardest part is removing the oem rear diff bushing sleeve. I used a hack saw, air hammer, chiisle and a hammer. The chisle and hammer worked the best. Removing that bushing took 3.5 hours. The vent tube also took a while to seat into the cover. I froze the bushing and vent tube overnight and that definitely helped!

Had Z1 do this for me a week or so ago. Bushings failed and Gwinnett Infiniti wanted $3100 to replace. They would do the whole subframe. Z1 did a great job and used urethane for $688. So grateful for these guys. You Infiniti dealers out there need to buy the tool, the bushings and let Z1 train you. IMO.

How long did they have the car to do the job?
@PaulsToolReview6 ай бұрын
I brought my car into Infiniti of Gwinnett to get my 2010 G37S Convertible cracked dash replaced (which I got at 20% off online from them) and of course they do the "free" inspection while it's in the shop finding the diff bushing needing replacement with the "tear of death". According to them: "Cause: Rear Sub Frame Diff mount Bushing Split Leaked Correction: Replace Rear Sub Frame Diff Mount Bushing, Bushing Kit $1880.06". So it appears that Infiniti now has a "bushing kit" and the price has come down to mostly labor. Z1 only does performance work and after a quick call, this counts! I was quoted $815 for parts and labor. They are open 8 to 5 M - F and 9 - 4 on Saturdays (appointment required). They told me to plan on 5 hours.

Cars that sit a lot experience nearly as much wear and tear as cars driven daily; just in different manners & formats. IE: Anything rubber that sits stationary for extended periods of time will dry out/stiffen up leading to micro cracks in the rubber.

Hi Z1, My mechanic installed my rear z1 poly diff bushing but it pokes out towards the rear of car by about 3-4mm, not flat to the surface of the frame. Is this going to be an issue? Thx

Would the early Q model line include the 2014-15 Q50? So far I could only find solid aluminum bushings for these cars :(
@Z1Motorsports236 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. The early Q50 was a V37 chassis, which was totally different than the Z / G. The '14-15 Q60 Coupe however shared the same CV36 chassis as the G37 coupe, so these bushings will work on those specific models.

I have the thud in the rear :( It happens fairly often when shifting from 1-2 or 2-3. I can make it happen if i'm coasting and i let the clutch in and out upon engagement I hear a loud slam in the back. I have checked the rear bushing visually and its not leaking (no tear of death) there is a minor tear in it however. Could it still be the rear diff bushing thats causing the slam? 2013 g37 ipl 6-speed
@Z1Motorsports236 жыл бұрын
It's very likely that the rear differential bushing is the culprit, in fact based off of your symptoms and the way you reproduce the issue I would say that's probably exactly what your issue is. Sometimes a tear of death may not be seen, especially if it started leaking some time ago and an underbody wash was done, washing away evidence of leakage. If the bushing itself has a tear it's pretty much guaranteed that it has puked in the past and the evidence has been washed away.
@MrEdwithdreadz6 жыл бұрын
Z1Motorsports Right gotcha! Thanks for the reply I'm gonna be ordering that bushing and The rear sub frame inserts too. Hopefully tightening up everything back their solves the problem
