You could use the sensor hoop to automatically offload your space ship and send it to storage, maybe even automatically replace your fuel. You could mine somewhere, come back, auto offload and refuel, and launch back to the mining planet without having to leave the ship

A lot of the sensor platforms already existed, just with different names and textures. For example, the XL sensor arch used to be called the XL arch platform and didn't have the blue holographic sheet. My buddy and I used one to trigger some horns when we returned to our base. The only possible change is that the XL sensor canopy (formerly the recreational canopy) will activate items on it now. It used to just play a noise and launch a mini-firework, regardless of what, if anything, was on it. I can't test, because the update isn't out for me.

I think that if a recreational sphere could be flung by the active platform into the hoop one could make astroneer arcade games. Maybe that's the purpose of the hoop, or it could detect a landing shuttle and start an unloading process.

Ik this is a little bit of an old video but those sensors are used for the rockets ship. Say you leave your base and wanna turn lights and other stuff off put those sensors over your landing pad. :)

If you put 40 small gas canisters (which hold five units of gas each) and blew them up that would mean you had blown up 200 units of it. which is twice the medium gas canisters storage. So my guess is the explosion is based on how many units there are.

For your nuke your not thinking creatively enough. Use the large Silo B, load it with med hydrogen canisters, and then find a spot you like and unload them. Your large shuttle can carry two of the large silo Bs which have like 12 slots for medium items, so thats 24 medium gas canisters of hydrogen, per trip. The old way of a nuke was to load the large silos holding mediums up with gas, and just toss the entire things into a hole.

Has anyone else instantly.though about that active board and what it means for storage. Not just storing but using it and storage sensors to make light based systems to tell you if things are full or not? Or even more use multiple as a series of sensors and button arrays to send the signals to craft various items and what not. A button and light for various things set up to craft items auto magically and sensors to see if you have the items and what not?????? THIS IS AWESOME THANK YOU ASTRONEER
