Z you dont have to disconnect from a planet you can thrust it with you to the next one and make a huge planet

For the new smelters: Put the first splitter on 33% towards the smelter, 67% straight on; the second splitter on 50% towards the smelter, 50% straight. That way each smelter gets an equal amount of ores, instead of the first smelter 50% and the other two smelters 25% of the ores. Love the vids! Keep on going. Factory games aren't my wheelhouse, but I love watching you play them...

You can grab the smaller planetoids with the harpoon, they occasionally have quartz rocks that are hand mined.

You can speed it up and down using the + and - keys. Also you can press u to upgrade machines when they're unlocked rather than replacing them

I ended up minimizing my wiring by having most of my machines connected to just enough solar panels to run it at 100% efficiency... in badly clustered areas I made a higher platform to set up a bunch of solar panels for everything there. Those tiny planetoids you can make the grapple to grab and drag them in, then build another one on the planetoid to dock it much like the main dock connectors. I don't think there's a way to turn the station, but once docked with planets you can drag them with you... I'm currently dragging 15+ planets around.

Great video! A tip: Its possible to stack water storage on top of each other, if you build a floor on top of each layer and connect the storage by using pipes on the outside.
@MartysRandomStuff2 жыл бұрын
You don't need pipes the tanks connect to each other through the floors, and you can remove the floors after you build the tanks to have a very nice looking box of water.

You can adjust the settings of one thruster and press the rectangle button in the upper right of the interface to sync up all the other thrusters that are facing the same direction.

Alright Z1, if you use the beam's you can also stack water tanks on top of each other by using floors, if you so desire more water :)

Lots of great ideas, some of which I've implemented myself. You'll need to Dirt (Soil), as well as the quartz for future work, so plan on collecting it. At this time (and I do agree it seems they've upped the acceleration of the Electric Engines), you probably only need one Engine pointed forward and one engine pointed backwards. I don't know whether it'll work or not, but my thoughts were that Engines located out on the edge of the "Wings", in the corners and turning on ONLY the ones in the diagonally opposite corners, may allow for rotation. For example puposes ONLY, if you take the "Front" of the Ship as N, right as E, left as W, and back as S, and placed an engine on each corner with the S-edge engines pointing back and N-edge engines pointing forwards, rotation might be achieved if the SW corner engine was turned on pointed back and the NE engine was turned on pointed forwards. If that doesn't work, then there may not be a "rotational" option for the "Ship". Harpoon connectors only need to be pointed in opposite directions (DIRECTLY opposite), but not necessarily positionally opposite. They'll use the Harpoon power to draw themselves into alignment. You can only use the HC Paths to transport Ore between "Ship" and Planet/Planetoid. I also suggestion that once mining is completed on a Planetoid, to collect the remaining Dirt/Quartz, which will completely remove the Planetoid. I do not believe Quartz or Ice shows up on any of the scans, even if it exists on a Planet/Planetoid and I do not believe it can be robotically mined (at least I'm not sure if Quartz can be robotically mined, but I believe they will recover Dirt when they dig into the P to get to the actual resource they're going after. There's no option that I've seen so far, to target Ice or Quartz).

I recently rebuilt my base with the water and electric under the floors. So much nicer looking, I removed all the foundations from the starter base (except the flag). I did put back a row of foundations around the perimeter just to make it look nicer.

I did the electric under a false floor in the demo, now I just set up solar panels for each machine.

A single smelter, and ice crusher would be more than enough. By making more you are just wasting power. The only reason to build more than one is to have a lot of troughput, and in the early game it is too much. If you want to set aside their space, you don't need to connect them to the power network.
