So far I'm liking how HF2 looks. I know there's a few people complaining about the "cartoony" looking style over the original, but I feel this one has more of a story to it over the original. The original is great because it was the first of its' kind to make home renovation fun and gave people expressive freedom when decorating a house. They improved it a lot over the years with the extra DLC since its' original release. But I like that they went with a stylized feel with HF2 instead of trying to be realistic. The clients also talking to you over the phone about their predicament also feels as if you're someone they actually hired to do a task rather than just being someone who is there just because. That's kind of one of the things I disliked about the first game. When you bought a house to renovate you had a list of people off to the side always commenting about what you were doing. It felt like people were only there to complain as if you were doing something wrong. Now when you take a job it is more personal because you're only interacting with the person who hired you. There's no panel of judges watching you and writing down their likes and dislikes like there was in the first game. I will be buying HF2 when I get the chance, but for now I'll be searching for more gameplay of it. I'd really love to play with the sandbox mode and see what I can make for a house. :)
