Hi! I would like to cite from the manual: "Configuration using push-buttons Press the programming button on the Z21 detector for at least 1 second; the white program LED starts to flash. Activate a magnet article with the address of your choice within the next minute. The magnet article can be activated using the Z21 App or another input device such as the MULTIMAUS. The address has been accepted by the Z21 detector after the white program LED has stopped flashing." I don't really understand. Does it mean that I can control any function directly from the detector (similar to the LocoNet)? Anyway... have I possibility to dedicate one or more function to the occupied or free status of a track section whithout advanced computer system? That would mean a basic automation only with Z21 mobile app.

Hi, so will this unit only work on the R-bus ( no Railcom ) for the DR5000 ? No CAN bus on the DR5000, so no Railcom even if the firmware is updated, right ? Also can you test it connected to a DR4088 R-Bus and then the DR5000 ?

So if Digikeijs releases their DR5088RC it will be cheaper and have double the detection with Railcom, right ? It just won't work with the Z21 since it's a Loconet device, right ?

What is a detector with AppZ21 for? For display only? Cannot reference a route. The ideal would be to be able to make routes where the signals were referenced to the position of the switches and the occupancy detectors (track circuits).

The Z21 app does not do this function you are describing. You would need iTrain or something along these lines.

James, I have the same Roco detector and Z21 and using itrain as you have in your video. I can't figure out what address to set in the itrain for the detector to show occupancy. I have 8 detectors which work fine in the Z21app but I can't see the detection in itrain program. In the Z21 maintenance tool the module address is set to 2. Can you please advise or show your setup?

Will this detector unit work with an ESU Ecos 50200?

Tase no this will not Work with the Ecos. But there are others that will. Do you want to use the RailCom ability with Ecos? If not then there are many S88N detectors you can use.

William Spitzer the computer is wireless connected to the router of the Z21 and then use the above info to connect!
