Z80 Computer - Part 10 Designing a Number Pad

Still thinking about input I want to start creating a small prototype for the keyboard. The idea is to go over the design process and see how the parts will fit together.
So I have decided to build the number pad section of a keyboard.
I start by showing how we can use the KeyBoard Layout Editor website to generate the raw data for the keyboard design. I then show how we can take that data and use the Plate and Case Builder website to generate a dxf drawing for the plate. Finally, I take the dxf into Fusion360 to create a 3D model.
After printing the plate, I assemble all the key switches and stabilizers. The final part is to design a PCB using EasyEDA.

Very nice. There's also an automated PCB layout tool for Kicad which takes your keyboard definition file and produces a PCB layout for you.

Hi Steve, I'm waiting a lot for you to show how to insert a keyboard with 16 keys and its program in assembly, I need to learn how to program a keyboard with 16 or 20 keys in assembly so I can put it in my basic computer kit with Z80. Eh, I was thinking, if there is a single board Z80 computer, is there no need for an A, B, C, D, E and F-key on the key pad? Programming in hexadecimal is no nostalgic, something only real programmers can do. It feels like sailing the seven seas of the world with only a compass and a sextant. All the other letters and signs can be emulated with eight push buttons on a row. Programming like the old Spartans did.

How are you handling the inputs when they're open / floating? I use 10K pull-downs on the column inputs.

Yes I also use 10K pull-down resistors, but I have them on the main board.
