Thank you! But how would you want to use the Item value in action configuration? :) I think that should be done in the trigger expression.

So I could use the Trigger action conditions, instead of creating more triggers, for the type of information I collect from my systems, this would be really helpfull since I can't write scripts on my own. As for Zabbix 6.4, a really awesome feature would be to add Trigger overview as a widget to the Template Dashboard.

@@incubad0r That's not exactly how things work in Zabbix. Items are crating data - Data is analyzed by triggers and creates events - actions work with events. You can't have a direct interaction between items and actions.

I have a question, I have added 1 host 3 hours ago, which is getting low on free disk space, so 10 minutes later the alert triggered and the alert it's completely visible on the dashboard. 2 hours ago I configured an email notification rule because I want the previous event to be notified to me via email but it did not work. Is there any way to configure it in order to send me an email notification of an alert that appeared before configuring the email notification rule? Do I have to erase the host and add it again on my Zabbix or something like that?Thank you in advanced

Thanks for this video! I wonder what would the best practice be to limit notifications sent out from Zabbix? e.g a db server has 100 databases which all have old log backups (thus they are triggering). Can Zabbix somehow send only 1 notification for that?

Not really. You can limit alerts with trigger dependencies, but that's not exactly for your case. Or you can change a trigger / item logic to report a problem on all 100 databases, not separately

Why in version 6.0 it was possible to receive several notifications for similar actions, in version 7.0 one notification is received for similar actions. What is the reason?

Nice video. I have a problem on trigger actions I have 2 media type (mail and webhook) also 2 trigger actions using operation with trigger name, I receive the mail but the weebhook give me an error of API token and timeout [111]. But if I disable one trigger action it works ok (mail and webhook). I would appreciate your help.

Sounds like something impossible. API token means that you just have incorrect authentication for webhook. It has nothing to do with trigger or action itself

UserParameters probably is the most suitable way. You can create your own keys and define what command they will run on the host when ran by zabbix.

Alerts are over complicated in Zabbix. For every host we have to set up dedicated trigger action and the user (owner) with email. If we have hundreds of hosts it turns into a joke. And all these users will never login. An address field should be added to host and there should be a single action - to send to host address.
