My tips: Use liquid highlighter as an eyeshadow When going for a “natural” makeup day with a light coverage foundation, use a liquid or cream blush underneath the foundation… And the only other weird thing I sometimes do is to mix the blush I am using and bronzer together for the perimeter of the face to tie the look together more

As a women over 50 ( over 60) the blush application is something we do as we need lift versus a hollowed out cheek look. I love your tip on applying the 3 colors of shadow with my finger then blending…..walk! My only tip is EYES first then the rest. Easier to deal with fallout, smudges or clean up.

It was too cute hearing your kitty purr during the vid. Also, per a Wayne Goss vid I watched years ago, I started to place my blush a lot higher on my face, being in my 50's, and boy what a huge difference it makes. Just lifted my face right up, and even made my eyes stand out a little more like they used to. Who knew that little change would make such a difference, but it does.

Hi! Love you and your channel. I’m an esthetician and I also have more mature, dry skin. Ive found that if you use a hydrating eye cream on those dry spots on the side of your nose or on the forehead or around the chin; it clears it up and isn’t heavy so it won’t disturb your makeup and won’t break you out.

My tips are for people like myself with oily eyelids and a nose that foundation won't stick to. 1. If you have hooded oily eyelids use an eyelid primer and bake it on with a loose powder and sponge. This is the only way that stops my shadow creasing. 2. Liquid foundation never sticks or sits well on my nose. So I avoid the nose area when applying my base and instead use powder foundation there. I use a sponge to apply it. I recommend It Cosmetics Illumination Powder Foundation or the Make Up Revolution one in rose gold packaging.

My tip for applying lashes. If you have trouble with the corners of your lashes lifting place a small dab of lash glue to the inner and outer corner of the eye. Place your normal amount of glue to the lash, wait for the glue to get tacky before placing the lash. I use this technique especially on days I might be tearful or maybe sweating a lot. It's also great for windy or rainy days. Keeps my lashes in place all day!

My tip is in holding your makeup brushes. I hold mine between the index finger and the middle finger with the thumb and other fingers providing support. I find that I have more control and better placement especially when applying to the left side of my face - I am right handed. It might feel weird at first, but it works for me.

Also great for mascara if you hate clumping and gloop, keep a small cup in your bathroom, fill it with warm/hot water and stick your closed tube of mascara (the water line must be below the cap on the tube) for a half a minute or so. It really helps.

My tip is using a matte lipstick for eyeshadow. There’s a million shades of lipstick and we all carry a few in a purse so it’s very handy. Mattes usually don’t budge on the lip, same goes for the eyes. Although you do have to work a little quickly and you can use a brush to blend it out. I would use a thin layer, works great. And you can always put a little shimmer in the center or the inner corner. I used it today, lol. I hope you enjoy it!

I've been watching lots of videos lately, mostly makeup artists. One of them also talked about doing the highlighter "before" the blush. Such a light bulb 💡 moment for me. I like a more subtle highlight & sometimes I'd put it on & feel like it just doesn't look good. Doing it before seems so much better. Now my only issue is "remembering" to actually switch it up. Lol. Pro Tip!! Instead of doing swatches on your skin every time you want to see the makeup color, take a notebook page where the lines have a fair amount of space between them, then apply tape on both sides of a 1/2'' gap. Write the name of the product/shade, then swatch the makeup between the tape. (Use water or setting spray if you want the colors to pop) Once the page is full, you can remove the tape to create clear-crisp edges like they do on swatch-videos. Now you have a full inventory of all of your shades! I would do this with every new pallet instead of taking out all of my makeup to see my shades. I'm able to compare all of my golds, blues, pinks, ect. It really does help!

@@tisa6193 Oooohh how nice! 😊 Have you tried it yet? How did it work for you? I began doing this because I had bought a finely milled translucent powder, but it was so small, and I thought eak this can get expensive very fast, and this looks and feels nearly identical to corn starch, rice flour or potato flour/starch, and it seems finely milled the same way, so let me try it out in my powder. And voila it worked so well! 🥳❤🥰 Some powders are not as finely milled but are good too, because they have some colour to them, unlike translucent powder. But they don't have the blurring effect or can cake up a little, but mixing corn starch etc to them, gets you the best of both worlds, and for a fraction of the price! Which of course I love too! 🥳😄🥰😊 Sorry for the long reply. Take care friend! 😊💕🌞

My life changing foundation tip: 1 foundation 4 ways... Get a high coverage foundation (I use la girl dewy finish) 1. Use it as concealer... Use foundation as usual... Then on areas u need extra help use it as concealer... Covers light pigmentation n u don't really need to invest in high coverage concealer 2. Foundation + moisturizer = bb cream... But dewy foundation will get so oily... I spritz my face with rose water then apply dots of foundation n then mix with brush (use half quantity than full coverage routine) u can also use setting spray 3. Converting dewy foundation to matte: Powder ur whole damn face n let it bake... Dust out the excess top with matte setting spray 4. Make ur dewy foundation wet glossy foundation by mixing a little illuminator n topping with dewy setting spray

Hi Zabrena a couple of tips for very fair skin are: Instead of using a cream coloured eyeshadow to set primer or as an eyeshadow base - use a white shadow, as it really intensifies any shade used on top of it. It also really works as an inner corner highlight for the eyes, giving a brightness that on me cream shades just don't. Using a white foundation mixer as a matte highlight (similar to how you previously used the lilac shade in a previous video). For me the white blended in to various areas while the foundation hasn't yet set, gives a very lifted/bright look to the skin eg cheekbones, under the brow, cupids bow and slightly above the brows on the forehead. This is based on how old Hollywood would use a white cream to do a similar thing. White foundation mixers work really well and are a lighter texture to work with. They're a bit more translucent and less stark than a thick white cream too. Hope that helps. Obviously as I'm ultra pale and cool toned white isn't as stark on me as it would be on a warmer/deeper skintone. Best wishes.

Zabrena and Zabrena community! This is more of a skin care tip but I have straight eyelashes. I have tried everything. I started taking my eye makeup off with Avocado oil when I ran out of micellar water. I kept using it because it was melting off my eye makeup so well and within 2-3 weeks I noticed my eyelashes were responding better to using a eyelash curler and mascara. They weren't longer or curlier but just better. I guess it was the nourishing properties of the avocado oils.💜💜💜💄💄💄

When I accidentally shaved a chunk of eyebrow off, this was my “eyebrows will absolutely not move” routine: 1. Eyeshadow primer all over the eyebrow using my finger. To apply, I would just swipe (still with some pressure) along the direction of hair growth. 2. Brow pen 3. Spray hairspray on my finger and press it onto the brow. I always struggle with keeping makeup on my face and I didn’t want my eyebrows to slip off during work. This never failed me!!

I used the dark green from the Dancing Green palette as my crease color & topped it w/the dark blue from the Ice Ice Baby palette. It came out as an AMAZING dark teal color, which I absolutely love! Awww, I love how the kitty had to be in the video, too! And how the mike picked up his purring... BTW, I've been trying the setting-spray-on-a-sponge (or brush) trick lately, and it's done wonders to tamp down that cakey look that you can get when you've got lots of layers of foundation, concealer, powder, etc. going on. It's like what I used to do back in the days before setting spray, too, when I would just wet a sponge with plain old tap water, then press that on my makeup to set it. (The tap water trick also works if you're applying eyeshadow with a fairly absorbent brush or sponge-tip applicator, and won't ruin the shadow in the pan like sticky setting spray can!)
