It's a shame that country songs don't get more recognition. Compared to todays "popular" music, this is heaven. Greetings from Croatia.

I got a piece of land out in the countryside Lay back and smell the sun warm up the Georgia pine Feels so good to be taking it easy Why would I ever leave? Cause I know [Chorus] I got some good friends that live down the street Got a good looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town, where it feels like home I've got everything I need and nothing that I don't Homegrown Homegrown [Verse 2] We got a fire going down by the riverside Sip whiskey out the bottle, living like we'll never die Come on and stay a while if you don't believe me Why would I ever leave, cause I know [Chorus] I got some good friends that live down the street Got a good looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town, where it feels like home I've got everything I need and nothing that I don't Homegrown Homegrown I got some good friends that live down the street Got a good looking woman with her arms 'round me Here in a small town, where it feels like home I've got everything I need Homegrown And nothing that I don't Homegrown Everything I need Homegrown And nothing I don't Homegrown It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want Weight you carry It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want It's the weight that you carry from the things That you think you want [Outro] I've got everything I need, nothing that I don't Homegrown Everything I need, nothing that I don't Homegrown Everything I need, nothing that I don't Homegrown Oh, everything I need and nothing that I don't Homegrown

I hope I didn't offend anyone but I as well as my family enjoy it because we relate to the words. In most country music. We live in the sticks and all of us know each other and stick together. Also we are well diversified and cooperate very well. As for those country music stars Like FGL they are transcending the genre to a new plateau. That is why you see platinum albums. Embrace it you never know what you can discover about yourself. Evolution is inevitable.
@bengoins59 жыл бұрын
Well Ms or Mrs BrendAiSAJIW, Thank you for your very honest and polite comment. Although, I am curious as to what pertains to this "Bro" music? Hmm I am baffled. I can count several (country classic stars) who have dabbled in what you call "bro" music. Either way your opinion is respected. I can agree to disagree. Besides, I like any type of music that I can relate to. I also listen to "your" kind of country with the exception of a few for obvious reasons....their names will remain unmentioned. I think you may know them well ma'am. Thank you again. "YOU HAVE TO LEARN THE RULES OF THE GAME AND THE PLAY IT BETTER ANYBODY ELSE" ALBERT EINSTEIN. WHAT IS NICE ABOUT COUNTRY MUSIC TODAY IS NOBODY IS TRYING TO DO SOMETHING EVERYBODY ELSE IS DOING. THEY ARE TRYING TO DEVELOP THEIR OWN UNIQUENESS. BRYAN WHITE
