They were formed in Georgia in the early 2000’s, and after this song took off they kept adding more and more members to become more versatile. I believe the original band in this clip consisted of Zac, a violinist, drum player, and bassist. The following album they added a pianist and an electric guitar player

“Goodbye in Her Eyes” live from the CMAs or “Devil Went Down To Georgia” live from the CMAs are two great performances. First one is a deep original masterpiece, Devil went down to Georgia is a cover but highlights how insane instrumental skills

They are from Atlanta. And have been around for around 10 years. The gentleman’s name at the end of the song is R.Lee Ermey. He was a drill instructor in the Marines and yes he has been in countless movies and show’s but is best known for his role in Full Metal Jacket. Sadly he passed in April of last year. Semper Fi, and RIP.
