Zac seems so scared of saying the wrong words. He’s usually so smooth but he’s definitely thinking about what he says here. I don’t blame him, if you mess up with Ted Bundy you mess up for good.

I'm going to be honest, I was skeptical about this movie because I only ever saw him as the "teen heartthrob," but I'll be damned if he didn't do an amazing job.
@WrongholeReagan5 жыл бұрын
That was probably the point. We weren’t watching the movie from the point of view of Ted or any of his victims; we were watching it through Liz’s. And she didn’t think he was guilty until well after it had been ruled he was. And apart from a few hints dropped here and there throughout the movie, there aren’t any indications of Ted’s guilt either. Because that’s how intelligent and skilled at manipulation Ted Bundy was. You know it’s weird. There’s not a single rape scene in the whole movie and only part of one murder scene, shown at the very end. With someone as prolifically horrible as Ted Bundy you’d think they’d put at least a few scenes like that into his biopic. But that’s not how a lot of Bundy’s target demographic (young women) saw Bundy at the time. They saw him as a handsome, intelligent boy next door type who was a victim right up until he wasn’t. So that’s the progression the movie follows. The scariest villains aren’t the smartest, or even the most accomplished at their deeds (even though Ted was both of those). The scariest villains are the ones you never know are there.

I was honestly really scared this movie would romanticize Ted, since there’s already a number of young girls who obsess over murders and having a teen heart throb play Ted would only further it. But this movie was so well made. You never really think about how the people in Ted Bundy’s life was affected BY his choices. This movie showed how he destroy Liz’s life and how much she was one of his victims as well. They both did amazing

At the end of the movie my mom and i looked at each other and we were genuinely scared. I have always loved Zac as an actor but seeing him play a real scary person that existed in real life was just insane. He made me genuinely believe 1) he was Ted and 2) he was innocent. I can tell by this interview alone that Zac just was scared because he wanted to do it justice but also not glorify him. In the end in his confession to liz he was genuinely trying to separate himself from Ted. You could see his emotions were not acting they were real emotions.

I love that they went for the psychological aspect rather showing the murders because to me I feel like showing the slashings is romanticizing what happened. I can’t imagine what the families would do if they accidentally came across a scene where their loved one got murdered. It was a good approach to make us feel like we are witnesses at court from that time to experience Bundy’s evil.

I was really glad that he did this. All his films (no fault of his own) seem to be about his body and taking his shirt off. But he did this one good. Showing that someone as "normal" as Ted can be this disgusting monster. And he is very nervous here. I think he knows that this is a big effing deal and that maybe even victims families or friends will watch this. He knows this is a very sensitive topic.
@jjthor4074 жыл бұрын
I have done research on Ted Bundy for quite some time . This look at Bundy and his relationship with Liz brought a dimension to Ted that was more terrifying . because people can now see that besides being a monster , he actually felt love , was loved , and spent time as an everyday normal person . Zac Efron went way above what I thought he was as an actor to achieve this .I don't know if anybody noticed this but Lilly Collins the actress who plays Liz looks , EXACTLY like Brenda Carol Ball who Bundy killed on June 1 1974 . Her skull was found on Taylor Mountain . Bundy had severed her head with a hacksaw . HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE !

I didn't really think the movie was that well made but I think zac portrayed him really well. And lily is such a beautiful girl. She was great in the movie as well. I was disappointed.

Maybe a tv show or films may be up his alley. I'm sure there is plenty of material about to work with. it's always something to explore, for any genre. I, myself, have explored some areas here, and that's a story... but then I decided there were other things that needed to be done. So the material sits; and maybe one day I will get back to it. SO, if I CAN do it, you know Zac would kick butt! but maybe music or some stage production style, or other would be of more interest to him. There are so many available options. And it doesn't matter what direction - there is always tons to be explored more deeply. Go Zac! Anything would be great material to see from him.... You can always see the bare talents shining through. - Truly remarkable, in any fit! A real all- rounder, as they say.
