Most of our letters are just pronounced very differently. The English language tends to have more bass in their pronunciations, while Swedish ones are much more high pitched.. ^__^ If you can get the pronunciation right though, you can learn Swedish very easily, since about 80% of our words have the same Latin origins.

Skön for example would normally be translated as mooi in Dutch, but it can also be schoon, Schoon can also mean clean, in Swedish it's ren, which resembles a synonym for schoon in Dutch, namely rein. So the language look like each other in various ways, but can be very distinct. And it's a fun language, it sounds very pleasant and nice. :)
