Reed is kinda in a tier of his own compared to the rest of the top picks. Obv if we’re just considering SL performances

Considering prospect production he was head and shoulders above any lottery pick besides Edey and Clingan, who were both upperclassmen (and centers, who tend to have an easier time producing at a young age).

@@mrfortwash They covered him like Curry onball, so he passed to his teammates who would immediately chuck up a dumb shot. About halfway through they realized that once he gave the ball up on a possession, they never had to cover him again since he was never getting it back, so they would just double him, force a pass, then collapse in the paint.

Hawks had him at 2 and it went down to the wire before they made the pick. The fact that they went with Risacher meant that they were keeping Trae and building around him. A Trae and Reed backcourt, both around 6”1-6”2, would be tough to build around . If he was 3-4 inches taller he would’ve went 1
