The soundtrack and the vibe of Garden State had me in a chokehold when I saw it for the first time. It stuck with me so strong, I had to see it again the following week. Just to get that feeling again. Everyone involved in that movie should be proud. They made something special.

Garden state was my favorite movie when I was 15. Now, it seems so moody and annoying. Honestly, I never looked at Braff the same after his punk’d episode, he was so bad.
@RandomAccessDreams2 ай бұрын
It would have been a better film if it focused on Braff's character trying to rebuild the relationship with his father. He got Ian Holm to play his dad and he's only in three scenes, what a waste of a fucking phenomenal legend of an actor.

Garden state is pretentious. "Hey I'm a sad, dissafected, loner who goes to cool parties" "Hey I'm a poorly written manic-pixie-dream-girl, have you ever listened to The Shins?" Wow you blew my mind, let's go on a quirkie adventure that consists of tedious naval gazing and lame recycled joke that you have seen done better elsewhere" Is this film supposed to have something to say on the subject of depression because every Zach Braff level hollywood hack had put out in the 90s and 2000s their own little self-insert, I am a cool, yet wounded and depressed man vanity project movie.
