I thought this was a particularly good episode. Jessie, you need a larger worm operation for your farm. :)

Does Zack test or have the composts tested under a microscope to verify healthy soil microbial life?
@stevefromthegarden11353 жыл бұрын
It is mentioned in the episode that they closely monitor the compost under the microscope.

How do they make sure no one is dropping off materials treated with pesticide, herbicide or fungicide? Or are they using microbes to neutralize the cides?

So I've been watching your videos lately (introduced to you by my dad) and for some reason I keep thinking that you sort of look like, and your movements and expressions are similar to kzbin.info I hope you have a great spring!

Can anyone suggest a compost tea aerator system, either DIY or no, for a 55 gallon barrel? Affordable too?

Check out a hydroponic store. They have pumps of various sizes and the airstones to go with them.

@@stevefromthegarden1135 i do have those for my five gallon bucket, but it seems that something different may be needed for 55 gallons. I did find something called the snake on Amazon coupled with a larger pump that may work.

@@joanfreeland2023 You could also borrow an idea from the market gardeners for how they wash their greens. You take a small jacuzzi or air pump and run it into the barrel with PVC pipe. At the bottom, you create a square with the PVC and drill small holes in it to create the bubbles.

An air pump for a 100gal fish tank will work. The air stones, hoses and pump are relatively cheap and can push the air further down in the barrel.
