This is the kind of channel that I've been looking for back when I was into editing videos, now I'm getting back on it again for sure. I'll sub. Watched through the end and to my surprise you actually went into all important details. Other tutorial channels would just skip those and leave me wondering what the hell did they do. I just needed to watch your video and all questions are answered! I hope I can pull the same thing off with Sony Vegas though, it has Mask/Pen tool as well.

by the way, think you could do a tutorial on how to draw fiber muscles on your body ? like "Pietro Boselli Muscle Anatomy " he has some awesome videos on youtube which seems like a videogame and I can't find any tutorial at all on the internet on that stuff.

As a non-artist and non-video editor, what amazes me most, there seem to be a thousand options and a lot of language to using these programs. I enjoy watching your process, but am quite overwhelmed at how people can retain so much knowledge on these editing programs. Awesome job. A long time ago I took CAD classes, but easily forgot where to find the stuff I wanted. Just my memory isn't as good for certain things I guess.

Great video - Thank you so much! I'm a "camera Dad" and my kids are a bit bored with me; being able to make videos that are fun for them too is the next step. Your instructional made that happen!

Very good tutorial, I have some thing to add, if you make another copy of the clip with the cereal box into and drag it straight up then flip the image upside down then lower the opacity you will actually create a perfect reflective shadow of it, (crop around the the box only).

The perspective makes all the difference! Thanks for the tutorial. What camera /lens setup do you use?
@SkylerThomas6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this one is more almost more about the setup than the post work. I shoot on the GH5, primarily with the lumix 12-35mm. I love it. I use it for short films, comedy sketches, music videos, corporate videos, youtube, etc... More of a filmers-oriented camera body, but I still can get some nice photos out of it. A lot of great features for the cost compared to some of the other cameras out there.
@Ryansacrobat6 жыл бұрын
Skyler Thomas You are the 2nd friend on KZbin that uses this and you both always capture amazing quality. Perhaps time to look at that option!
@SkylerThomas6 жыл бұрын
Yeah its great. For the most part the stuff I post on here I'm not overly concerned with quality, but some of the stuff I've been getting for the short films I'm working on with proper lighting, and the 10 bit c4k setting look really good. I was thinking about a "year in review with the gh5" video, so I may have to put that together.
@Ryansacrobat6 жыл бұрын
Skyler Thomas Ya that makes sense. I think it’s interesting to see which “tools” creators use to make their videos and why. Peter McKinnon actually uses his 1DX for vlogging but bought it and uses it primarily for photography. Interesting stuff!
@SkylerThomas6 жыл бұрын
The 1dx is an amazing photography camera and has great video quality too. But it's also $6000 plus for the body and pretty heavy/large. The gh5 for the price is really great for film, but if I could shoot on a 1dx, I'd totally do it.

Loved it. I just posted one on Instagram. I used a box of Yodels lol. One extra tip. You had placed the videos side by side for reference to scale. I just lowered the opacity and matched the scale. It was very quick to do it that way. I did get a slight artifact using the ultra key below my desk so what I did was masked out only the portion I was going to work with from the desk up, then nested the sequence with the mask. I then applied the Ultra Key to the nested sequence and had a perfect key :D. I hope some others find these tips helpful.
