The hate for Lavine has to stop. One, his contract is not that much if you look at the recent contracts given to Markannen and Annoby. Contracts are in that $220 million range now. Two, for those saying he isn't coachable, I've never heard that until the past year. Where were all these comments in the years before? Three, back in the day, a lot of the stars had coaches fired including Magic. Did it make him not coachable? Fourth, for those who say he is injury prone, he has played 80% of his games and that's above average for most NBA players. And I believe when you are playing for a team that is not playoff bound, it leads to discussions of trades and players will use injuries to prevent trades. Is it right? No but it happens. Fifth, to those who say he doesn't play defense. Most scorers do not play both sides and they structure teams for that. Do you see the Mavs not interest in Luka for not playing defense? No. How about Harden? Zach is a 50/40/90 player and they are very rare. Most teams need that type of player including the Bulls unless they are tanking.
