I spent 13 years with an abusive husband, he beat me physically, mentally, and emotionally for most of our "marriage". He hurt me and our kids. I was at the lowest point I had ever been. The real diagnosis was a lack of Christ..the saving, powerful, never-failing love of Christ. I was regenerated 5 years ago and I've never looked back. Cold turkey off heroin, alcohol and cigarettes. My husband and I had the pleasure to attend a Worship concert in Riverside California whereas Zach Williams opened up, and it was so great. He wasn't introduced by name though. He just began singing and when it was time for him to introduce himself, he didn't. He said it didn't matter who he was. I think he just wanted to Worship with us. His name and who he was meant zero to him. Worshiping with his church family was his purpose on this night, and his humility brought myself and my husband into the presence of God so quickly. I always remember this moment about Zach Williams when my husband wears the "Chain Breaker," T-Shirt we purchased after the Worship concert. He wears it often, and I always remember how humble this artist is about his calling from God to praise Him without people necessarily knowing who he is. I'm glad I know who he is. Many people do now. It's nice to hear this song on the radio too. Many blessings to this humble servant. I look forward to attending another concert to Worship with my church family. I noticed a couple months ago that my son started developing some vocal and motor tics. It got severly out of hand and I was at the point of falling into depression. His teacher told me it was affecting his academic performance and social skills in school. There is no greater pain than to see your child crying and suffering asking why they are not "normal" or asking what's wrong with them in tears. After years of not going to church, I went. The Pastor said a beautiful prayer, and that was the first time in a very long time, that I opened my heart and soul to God. Sobbing at the altar, I begged him and prayed for my son. The next day, my son's severe vocal tics vanished. He was happy and singing his music songs in school again! He is going to a nuerologist and will still be getting the right therapy, but this whole situation reminded me that God is real. This was his way of calling us. My faith is now stronger than ever. 16 months ago, I cried out to Jesus to break chains of addiction and the power of a co dependent, narcissistic relationship. I knew there was no way I could do it in my own strength. The addiction was (painfully) taken away right away, but today the chains of the relationship are finally broken, AND Jesus has/is doing a great work in me along the way. Just believe and have faith. I’m thankful you did that. God loves us and don’t want our religion. He loves you so much when you do good things or bad things it don’t change his love for you. There is nothing we can do to change his love for us. What he wants in return is to release our hearts to him fully. I’ve seen what that does to a person”s life and am trying to figure out myself exactly what that looks like. There are moments that I feel I have done it and in those moments I can absolutely feel his presence. He is always with us but when we let go is when we can actually feel him holding us. Steve Anz... I read your comment after listening to this song. I usually don't read the comments, but this morning I did and I read yours. I was shackled by chains inside many prisons that I had found myself in. Shackles of Rejection, Emotional Eating and Body Image Disorder, Abortion, Alcoholism, Drug abuse, Molestation and sexual abuse, Lust, Promiscuousness, Pornography, Self-Hatred, Self-Mutilation, Rebellion, Infidelity in my marriage, Physical/Mental/Emotional and Spiritual Pain and others. My chains began at 5yrs old and continued until I was 32yr old. I could tell you my life story but that would take a lot of space and time and there's only ONE thing you really need to hear is that YOU can become ”Free Indeed”! God started speaking those 2 word to me In 2015. He showed me what how He unshackled me from each chain and prison that had me bound for YEARS. When I truly gave God ALL of me and begun to walk a path toward Christlikeness many things were cut away. As I submitted to God and allowed Him to change me, even break me so that He could put me back together by molding me for His Glory. I told God that I wanted Him to use EVERY horrible thing that happened in my life to help others break free from things that bind them. Things that have people in shackles inside the invisible prisons that yes our choices but sometimes place there by Satan as well. Satan will use anything and everything to shackle people who follow after Christ as their Savior. When we give our lives to Christ we gain not just a Savior, but we gain a Heaven Father that is always there loving us unconditionally and we also gain the Holy Spirit who comforts us but also empowers us to boldly witness to others what God has done for us. What Jesus has done for us. When we become Christians we get a Trinity... God the Father, Jesus His Son and our Savior and the Holy Spirit. All three of those combines minister to us in so many different ways at the same time! I like what is said in John 8:36 in the ESV translation when Jesus spoke these words; "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed."You said in your comment, "as I am bound in chains through choices I have made and continue to do so. we are slaves to our own choices". You can break free from the chains you feel you still are bound in because of your past choices. You are also NOT a slave to your choices any more if Jesus lives in you because our "old man" falls away as we turn to righteous living. We become New Creations for God to use. We are no longer bound to those things we once did, those choices we once made. There may still be consequences from our past choices that are being dealt with but you ARE Free Indeed through Christ. God's Word says in Romans 6: 20-23 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. 21 And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. 22 But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.So walk in the forgiveness, healing, love and transformation that God gives us through Jesus Christ His Son and you WILL be Free Indeed!

Man I love this song. I used to listen to rap music.
