I’m a survivor, too. Childhood sexual abuse and physical abuse. By the time I was 8 I’d learned enough to survive what was being done. In 1978 someone took the time to tell me about someone who loved me so much He went to the cross and gave His life to ransom me. The story didn’t end there - this man also told me that He rose again on the 3rd day and is at the right hand of God the Father. It amazed me that someone would want me not for what I could do but just for who I was and am. Do I still struggle with the intrusive thoughts, do the bad dreams still come, am I triggered from time to time? Of course. This side of heaven those things will and do happen. However, the Lord Jesus Christ is by my side and I can turn to Him when all of these things show up. Praise His holy name. Sorry this was so long…

These past few years have been rough. My parents got divorced shortly after I began therapy treatment for anxiety and depression. I am 16 and this last few years of my life have been the hardest. So you know sometimes when you walk into the bathroom and you look into the mirror and realize that the person that you wan to be or that you think you are should be looking back, but it is not the same person that you want to be or see on the inside. For the last few years I have been struggling with my identity and who I want to be to see like as far as dating wise. Anyways this song is one of my many go to's because fr me I high functioning anxiety and slight depression and this song it can not be described in words on how it helps me, and every year when I go up to bible camp we sing this song every time. This song is like Katy Perry's Firework. It just reassures me how much I am loved and am needed in this work to make it better by the grace and support of God.

The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." AND "For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives." With that being said, God is ALWAYS more interested in blessing you than he is condemning you. HE LOVES YOU VERY MUCH! Hi Bailey, I'm 35 and if there is one thing I wish I would have done when I was your age is, read my Bible! I'm not sure if you do that on a regular basis but if you don't you really should. There's so much power in it. So many stories of amazing young men like Joshua and Daniel to name just a couple, but these were young men and as I read about their lives, their dedication to the Lord just amazes me! I have a 6 year old and a 10 year old daughter and we frequently talk about these 2 stories. I want my children to grow up and love God above all else because I know if they are devoted to God no matter what happens He will never let them fail. I know they'll face many trials and all the heroes in the Bible did and as all of us do today but one thing is for sure God will is a better place to be then anywhere else. ❤❤

Smile and rejoice in your heart over the fact that you want better and that you acknowledge that you need HIM and want HIM and that what ever your going through or hanging onto is not of GOD but your victory in overcoming and letting go IS ... He shows me every moment of everyday how I can and should do better and I'm still struggling with a lot of things but looking back at what I have SURVIVED and am striving to overcome and let go of I see progress ... It may not be alot or even what it should be (cause of me backsliding and not being obedient to God) I know my progress was not of me and my strength but GODS ... He loves us and wants us to need HIM and when your heart truly cries out for HIS help HE is faithful and will help us move forward ... So even if it's only one tiny thing , think of something you've recently accomplished in trying to better your self no matter how small even as small as a change in how you think or respond to negativity or feeling remorseful of something and then seriously try to understand that we as humans in our greatest moment are still pretty rotten low down sinners who can't really do alot of good without God and if your just simply experiencing a change in how you think and now desire God please realize that is not of you but instead that is of God to want to do what's right by HIM ...we won't and can't even truly desire God and to live by HIS word and HIS ways until God (Jesus Christ) comes and dwells in us so obviously you have God in you and God can't and will not fail ... Your going to be fine as long as you seek God and Jesus first ... take the energy you are using to hold on to what ever it is and use that same energy to push forward get everything behind you and then stay focused on God and Jesus... I'm trying but not getting it perfect by any means but I'm trying and I've just recently been able to stand up and start trying again and I know he is with us ...I hope and pray that our Heavenly Father blesses you and that HIS will alone is done in your life and that we make it in us doing HIS WILL as well... In Jesus Christ's mighty name I pray.... Amen , you are loved and seek JESUS and HIS peace ...

Thank you both for the encouraging words. It truly needed. I backslid in my life so many times. Just was full of regret and unforgiveness towards myself. God has truly spoken to me during this week on three different topics. Failures, Rejection and Forgiveness. They all were back to back. God truly helped me to see how much his grace was sufficient enough for me. Daily he helps me to forgive others and myself. I believe people have prayed for me.

Lost without Church services for so many reasons I lost count. As I sit and hear all the list of the ways we His Children are breaking HIS heart. Then in barely a whisper I hear His voice gently talking. Now and then we endure a few tasks, or my Guardian Angel's get it done. So today, and every day, and tomorrow, we miss you. My body is tired, and we had a few bumps and twists, but you remain in my prayers, and the Brothers. Remember what Jesus and I say, keep it short, simply ask Are you born again? Love listening to you. I started the first week in March when my mom was so sick and we almost lost her and I found Chainbreaker and Fear is a Liar and I sent them to her in hospital and she played them over and over. I wanted to see you so bad tonight in Conway but I have MS and I didn't know how loud it would be but someone shared their live with me. Keep going and sharing God's word.

So..I've been a believer since I was about 5-6..and now I'm older and I've been going Through a lot lately and I know he's with me and everything..and I pray to him and sometimes when something's going wrong I'll pray-"God please help this day go better,and remind me that your here with me." And then it goes totally opposite..the day will be terrible! And so ever since that's been happening I've sorta stopped believing and that's REALLY bad..so if you guys could just pray for me 👌🏻 and this song has helped a lot.
