My problem is the line of logic. Joy is absolutely right and that starts from last offseason. They benched him for Mike White. They thought he wasn’t good enough yet they grab someone that wasn’t better than Zach and they kept him. The Jets were so reliant on Aaron Rodgers coming in and saving them that they forgot you can’t play the season with injuries turned off. They wanted their cake and to eat it too without paying a little extra to have a decent backup plan.

If I have said it once, I've said it a hundred times. The jets problem is COACHING!!!! Zac hasn't made any improvements, in the entire time he's been in the league, if anything he has regressed. Coaching and film-study should be able to at least improve his issues. At what point does the coaching staff take reasonability for the lack of ANY QB development. All of their hopes were all in a predeveloped QB, at the end of his carrier. As a Miami fan, it's what they said about Tua, until he got a coach that could develop a QB.

I’d bet money that these guys haven’t watched a bunch of tape on Zach Wilson. If they had, they would see that he actually played pretty well, especially considering the circumstances. A few past NFL QB’s have actually watched ZW’s tape and have come out on YT defending him and saying that his play was pretty good. It’s hard to look great when the entire offense is playing poorly, starting with the decimated O-line.

As a die hard Jet fan the story ain’t being told correctly. Could Zach have been better? Yes! But the organization has failed him. Let’s look at his draft class, Lawrence, Lance, Jones, and Fields. The only one playing well is Lawrence and I would argue for some one proclaimed the be the next Peyton he’s still hasn’t done enough. If you swap Zach and Lance I would bet all my savings he would be extremely successful. Why because he’s going to a an extremely experienced HC/OC, not to mention all pro TE, and pro bowl receivers. As for the Jets you have a rookie HC who is defensive minded who actually did his job in building an elite defense but you hired a cocky rookie OC and Zach QB coach dies before the season. I’ve watched every single game he’s played and when John Beck came into the building Zach looked like a totally different QB. If I’m wrong go watch the game against Tampa, and bills his rookie year. Also Jets O line has been and still is terrible, his rookie year he only had COrey Davis and when he got hurt he was throwing to wr who no longer play or are practice squad players. Year 2 same nonsense yes they got Garrett and breece but his injury before the season really hindered his development. Also Kurt Warner did a film break down on how Zach is taught to go thru his progression and it’s wrong. Clear indication there was some mid teaching. Fast forward year 3 the entire offense is tailored to Arod and Hackett who is clearly terrible because Russ is playing wayyy better this year and proves Hackett is the problem. Out side of Garret again there no Oline and no one getting open. I’ve watched him put footballs in Lazards hands and they get dropped. How do you build confidence or rhythm when you’re constantly pressured and when you do throw the tight passes they get dropped. Hackett has called poor games except for KC game and I thought that would be the offense we run moving forward and he decides to go back to run , run, pass, punt for the remainder of the season.
