Whenever aespa does interviews it's really commendable the level of honesty and vulnerability they share. Being a pre-debut MY and experiencing all those things then formed a different level of loyalty to these 4 girls. aespa are so lucky because there is Jimin, Aeri, Minjeong and Ningning in aespa and above all they have each other. Their bond is so special.

Giselle's answers are delivered perfectly - almost like they're rehearsed but actually, she delivers them so naturally they don't feel it - like its coming from the top of her head. She's very good at adding personal comments in to make it relatable. I love the way she said 'we've said this many times in interviews before' about her first impressions of the members and how she gave us new information - this is honestly why I MUST always tune into aespa interviews cos we truly always get new information about the girls. the iPad thing is such a good idea and I've always wondered do the girls film things personally on their phones and send it to SM but I was so intrigued. this is so interesting especially with people saying 'aespa had no stage presence before coachella' and hearing that they didn't perform in front of a live audience UNTIL Coachella.. it really shows how different it is performing in front of people versus almost no people at all. i think I understand why they slowly faded in energy back then, because they were basically just performing the same songs every single day to NOBODY, hearing your fans online all the time, but knowing you won't get to see them live. that would drain me too. i do understand that part, but from another perspective, having energy on stage no matter what is kind of their job. I'm glad that Coachella and the performances in front of MY's were able to energize them and teach them new things. They definitely improved a lot. also i love the part of the interview where it goes: Zach: "You control the effort, not the outcome?" Giselle: "We can only control the effort." It's so true and good to keep in mind when you're a perfectionist. You can't control if it comes out perfect, but you sure can TRY. Working hard doesn't guarantee success but it's the only thing you can do to ensure good results.

In the end though, a job is just a job. Even if you love it, there's going to be times when you don't perform your best or when you feel drained doing the same thing all the time. I think especially as an idol when the whole point is to be able to perform to people, it would be incredibly demoralising to just be performing to cameras and not even getting to sing live either when you'd been training for so many years. Also they're young, they were receiving a lot of completely unjustified hate (mostly from psycho Blonks), and COVID took its toll on everyone. I can only imagine how challenging it would have been. But props to them that they kept at it and now look where they are! They're so good live and can't wait to see how much further they can go!

EXO, SHINee, SNSD, Super Junior, Red Velvet, even NCT are all very open and down to earth. They've all discussed their hardships and burdens but people still hate on them because they are SM. Giselle knows how to present herself publicly. Its in her genes and upbringing. Giselle's family is very rich and her aunt is a reporter for ABC News... and the bureau chief for ABC News in Seoul (Joo Hee Cho is her name). Joo Hee Cho actually dated the CEO of SM. That probably helped Giselle get into Aespa. And Giselle gets a lot of hate for that.

This is probably the best Zach Sang Kpop interview I watched. Giselle is so eloquent and chill. She really went into details and didn’t end her sentences quickly so they can move on to the next question. It actually feels like a conversation and not an interview. actually one of the most enjoyable and comfortable interviews i’ve watched. i love seeing karina trying to speak in english. hoping to see more of it in the future and giselle did such an amazing job at facilitating the whole interview & maintaining the vibe, and the interviewer was so good. he asks really great questions and responds to the answers so well it makes it really feel like a conversation and not a one-way interview

Winter is so SHY and I love that because she isn't forcing herself to be loud and smiling all the time. When I started listening kpop (2009) that was considerated as negative, disrespectful. I love that at least in that aspect introverts can be themselves. I don't know if she was forcing herself to answer some questions but from my point of view she seemed really interested in the questions she answered. From an introvert I got that vibe from her.
