One of the things that I love about Lauv is that he didn't just say like "I'm depressed" he took time to look into it and find out if he was sad or depressed. So many people in particular my generation (gen z) seem to throw around the word like it's nothing. You might be sad and stuff but most people aren't depressed of they say they are. Some people will say that they are depressed or have anxiety just to be cool. Like bruh.... it ain't cool it's a serious disease and illness that people sometimes spend their life trying to beat....

Lauv is a really unique and genuine artist and person. I find his music so relatable and healing. Lauv's music has helped me get through tough times and you can tell that he pours his thoughts and heart into writing music. His music is who he is. He's one of my favorite artists.

I just love him. I've been always too afraid to get diagnosed, but I definitelly have some kind of mental crap going on. It leads to very dark and some times quite prolonged periods in my life. I vividly remember that his "Reforget" track singlehandidly got me out of one of these. He gets it. He knows what happens in brain like that. And you can hear it in the interview too. All that self validation stuff. So true. It also makes me proud to find out he actually studied in my country! I always wondered what was Prague doing in that video for "The Other". I wish I have met that guy over a beer back then, hehe. :) Thanks Zach for this and Lauv, keep rocking man, you never know who and how might need it. :)

1. Never Shout Never omg! I loved him, I would have love for him to continue....I was a huge fan!! 2. I was never in Myspace cause here in Perú it wasn't a thing, we had Hi5 and then Facebook happened. But I knew Myspace existed tho. Although till this day I don't know how it looked like or how it worked. 3. Hearing you talking about being depressed really got me, the way you explained it was really detailed, thank you for that. People sometimes don't realized what's going on with them. Specially people my age that doesn't talk about these things as frequently or as easily as the new generation. And being in that state sometimes you don't realized what is happening to you, cause you lose perspective. 4. I love your music! Keep going! You choose the best collabs.

I totally hear you Ari! After my second transplant I didn’t realise that I withdrew from my friends/family and just stopped going out. I just lay down and listened to music, I wasn’t motivated to do anything. I didn’t realise until 6 mths after that I was suffering from severe depression. After seeing a psychologist I eventually pulled myself up and am now in a much healthier mind frame (although every once and awhile I lapse back). I knew I wasn’t quite right but just didn’t realise that I was suffering from depression ... I never thought I could be susceptible. 💙💗💙 Also I flove strings (I agree - there’s not enough live instruments) ... congrats an a kick ass song. Confidence isn’t always cocky or arrogant ... it’s just knowing who you are and what u want to do. So happy for you xx 💋
