@RedIAnima YT So what do you mean? Just because its Albert Einstein's opinion doesn't mean its correct! Albert Einstein was wrong about many things that he demonstrated with heavy math, stuff like, the universe being static (the universe not expanding that is) which he was later corrected, Einstein also proposed the universe being determined, that is, he proposed quantum mechanics being impossible and I am pretty sure that we all know that he's wrong about that as we experience it daily on our smartphones and computers. Now look, I am not saying that I know about this theory of his which you speak of, I will definitely research about it and then come back but the way I interpreted your comment was that you thought that if Einstein said it, it must be true. True, Einstein was a genius but that doesn't mean that he just could not be wrong!! Edit: Oh and I should also not forget to mention a very important point on my side here, Einstein's math about "his own theory" was wrong in the first two expeditions that he set his acquaintances to observe as a solar eclipse. Luckily for him, they both failed because of bad weather conditions, if they hadn't, Einstein's theory about which he is famous for, would have been proven wrong just because of his wrong math, and he would have became a laughing stock. Later his wife, Mileva told about his wrong math to him.
@Astitva4 жыл бұрын
@RedIAnima YT yes, it doesn't, but that's not the point, the point is that only because its Einstein's opinion doesn't mean it has to be correct. Also, this argument has taken a path from where it will only become either more philosophical or just irrelevant

1:48 if you were to look diagonally with a 'slope' that is irrational, would you technically never see yourself again? (if you fov is 1 line for some reason)
@Kosaro12344 жыл бұрын
A slope of PI/ 100 would intercept the triangle immediately to the right, since although irrational it would be close to zero and land on the back of the triangle. You're right if instead of triangles you had points, since any slope that would intersect would have to go through the dead center of a square. That square could be described by rise over run where both are integers, so the slope is rational. Therefore any irrational slope would not intersect any point. If you want you can formalize it: 1. For you to see yourself, the slope must intercept (at least) two points: the origin and some point. 2. Slope = delta y / delta x 3. As the point is in the same position in each square, delta x and delta y must both be integers 4. Slope = integer / integer (from 2, 3) 5. Slope is rational by definition (4) 6. So if you can see yourself (there are at least two intersections) then the slope is rational by direct proof 7. So if the slope is irrational then you cannot see yourself (there are less than 2 intersections) by contraposition (6)

This concept of a wrap-around world was shown in an episode of "Land of the Lost", a Sid and Marty Kroft Saturday morning kids show in the early 70s. A family is swept thru a portal on a rafting trip and end up in a bizarre alternate universe populated with dinosaurs and strange aliens called "Sleestacks". On one episode, the family stood on a hill top and saw another hill in front of them in the distance. There appeared to be a few people on the hillside in front of them. When they looked thru their binoculars, they discovered they were looking at their own backs. This was a pretty heavy concept for an 7 year old. I remember it really blew my mind and I thought about it for years, and still do!

I love challenges but to be honest, when you love a long life and spend a lot of time in the details of cosmology and physics you will see things rewritten over and over and learn things aren't as factual as they try and sell them. In fact, many theoretical physicists has taken a major turn down a really poor direction from reality. We will look back on most of what Hawkins has done as we do alchemist today .lol his Ph.D. was brilliant but then spent the rest of his life trying to fight all the fine-tuning everyone has mathematically found off it. String theory or m theory are as much fantasy as Oz. It's hypothetical built on hypothetical etc etc etc. Much of our institutions are really getting off course and took a wrong turn

I really enjoy your explanation and visualization of such complex topics and the fact that you don’t sugarcoat. I have seen each and every single video of your channel from the very beginning till this one and have advocated your channel to my friends. Personally speaking Zachary I hugely appreciate these contents and in particular the maths videos you do. I requested before and I am going to keep on doing so, and that is please write a book on anything related to your videos that you make. That will surely be a great primer to us who are either in STEM or those who Just love mathematics / science in general. Again huge huge huge thanks for making theses Videos for the past few years. And hopefully you will take writing also. I see you have a great potential in it. Love from🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩

This is crazy but this comes in my mind when I get high. I can never explain how there is a infinite possibility of infinite universes in all directions. Like a Mandelbrot zoom video. Its weird

Its spherical space with a toroidal magnetic field magnitude influencing hexagonal carbon matrix "Graphene". Right hand rule, electric universe theory is amazing. You should look at a magnetic field under a ferrow cell, looks like a flower. Wallace Thornhill and the SAFIRE project is getting major support from MIT, Stanford, Department of Defense.

4:00 this is the point at which I had a question which I hoped you would answer in the video, because it's hard for me to imagine: what would it look like if the universe was a sphere with opposite points on its surface connected? edit: oh yeah, the program has spherical ones! i'm gonna go download it.
