@@TheBlaine True. I was referring to the awards at the end of the season. Comparing his stats to Kuechly's dpoy season he's on par or better, but I don't think he'll get the nod unfortunately. That award seems to favor pass rushers heavily over the last few seasons.

I really became a fan of his in the Rams game. The Rams used the same play shown at 4:50 on the earlier in the drive. They recognized the formation and instead of him rushing the passer in a cover 1 blitz like he did when they got beat by Nuka on the crosser he carries Nuka down the field for a PBU.

Good LBs can actually cover players, Baun is a huge liability against the pass, and he misses plenty of tackles in the open field. Not to mention there are other LBs in the league that have done what Baun did for multiple seasons.

Prior to week 17, he was 15th in missed tackle % and first in coverage grade (still first). He missed 4 tackles in week 17, dropping his percentage

@FanaticsSports PFF is a joke and nothing more than a money grab. It gives you numbers but doesn't tell you how they came up with them...referencing their "grades" or "ratings" is literally blindly believing random information on the internet. If you watched the games, you'd see he was questionable against the pass and missed plenty of tackles in the open field. Would love to know what constitutes for a missed tackle according to PFF or PFR.

@@weedasaurusrexBaun is absolutely elite in coverage. He’s been great against the run too but I don’t doubt others could do what he’s done there with Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter occupying blockers and controlling their run gaps and responsibilities. I don’t doubt other linebackers could thrive in that situation, but he can’t be replaced in coverage no way no how.
