Am I going too far in thinking the song isn’t about someone rejecting the friendship of someone he doesn’t like but a person in love with someone who only wants to be friends with him ? He doesn’t want to be her friend but way more, and that everytime this guy talks to him it hurts him because it just reminds him of the painful relationship he has with her, that would definitely explain why he sounds sad and not angry to this girl, or maybe I’m definitely going too far xD No matter that, what an amazing song!
