Love this one. Ren recorded this one in his bedroom as he did most of his stuff. Ren also has an old channel called 'Ren's Room' where he recorded several other artists, also in his bedroom. Orlean has a video on that channel. Also an amazing dude, Joe Hitchcock.

I said this before, but Ren really is the Enterprise, going where no man has gone before. I was a kid when the first Star Trek ran in the 1960's, and for me every Ren song is like a mind-blowing episode of that old show.

Jessica is my name so i cant help but feel like this track is someone talking to me. Like someone i know who has a crush on me this would be his song to me. It actually does feel that way cause i got someone who fits that lane for me and hearing this song reminds me of him. 🙂 its almost like this jessica person is the quenn to his king.

great reaction! On Everybody Drops the music, lyrics and singing could pass as country... until you get into the rap portions of the song. He's also done a cover of Elvis' Can't Help Falling In Love that was surprising! Be interesting to see your take on those.

Thats one way to interpret shes a killer- i was taking it to mean like similar to a player - hot much more experienced lady who's playing with his heart and stringing him along - he wants it to be more serious but she dosnt because hes like 10yr younger or whatever- and what he wants to know is will she ever become a real thing with him.. At least thats my take.

Definitely feels to me like Jessica is a "crush", someone he's infatuated with and pinning all his hopes on escaping the darkness on while he was so ill. This is during the time when he was basically stuck in his room permanently.
