The outfield configuration at Rogers Centre used to be terrible and annoying. And ugly. And unpleasant. But the Jays are spending $300 million to revamp everything in several "phases" and so far they've crushed it.
Will it be easier to catch home run balls in Toronto? YES! Can you get closer to the players? Also YES! Unfortunately, though, this game had a bobblehead giveaway so it was packed from the very start, but I still had a great time exploring all the new nooks and crannies.
My actual seat for the game was near the Blue Jays' bullpen in left field so I had a great view of the relief pitchers including Jordan Romano (featured in the thumbnail) on his way into the game in the 9th inning.

The aesthetic is really nice and a big improvement, however accessibility is a nightmare. Especially on the upper 500 section. The concourse is so narrow now since they built deep into the walk way, and it’s really single lane traffic each way. On busy days like weekends, it’s super inn efficient to get around

Came here to see you're thoughts on the Renos! Honestly as a season ticket holder id say the reasoning is not the bobblehead for the busy crowds. Each game has had at least 20% more attendance than previous season which is VERY noticeable as you see. As for balls, from what I've seen in Toronto players favour kids over adults (as they should) to create true memories rather than feed an adults "Ball Count". Glad you got to check it out.

Wow Zack, didn't know you were coming up North. Love to see you doing a video in our city! My son and I were there on Sunday and the Mariners blasted a grand slam in the top of the first that landed five feet from us, in Rogers landing, next to the visitors bullpen. We almost had the ball and we could see ourselves in the highlights. Come back again next year after the second phase of reno's. Great Vid Zack we watch you all the time!
