I’m so far not entirely sure about this game.. Half of the strategy in all the other games was choosing which plants to bring. Now they take that away 😔

Don’t forget, it’s a soft launch. At the start, GW2 and 1 were kind of terrible at the start, but then they started fixing things and updating it and now.. it’s a good game! Don’t give up on PvZ3!

Plus there are way too many tutorials, people figured out what most plants did on their own I; the first 2, why do they need a tutorial for every new plant.

From my observations, for single target long range plants, when there are two or more zombies on the same tile, they tend to shoot the targets alternately, resulting in them not killing anything in that situation, which then makes bamboo shoot significant. Second, snow peas seems to do less damage than regular peashooters.

Both Peashhoter and Snowpea had been greatly nerfed, now needing 14/28 shots respectily. Squash also seem that it has been nerfed as now his range is much shorter. And Lighting Reed now does the same damage as a peashooter (!!?)

Snow peas are given the same cost as peashooters in pvz3 so having less damage makes sense

@@kyleco9185 I think thats due to the shot, that its longer compared. But that It has been buffed a bit, I have no doubt. The One Who really got buffed though, was Bonk Choi. His damage now is as insane as a heavy plant, which knowing the previous cases with Pokra and Ice-Shroom makes me believe that they misunderstand the power of a melee plant.

my only outstanding issue with the game so far is how little amount of plants there are. in 10+ levels you got to play with the exact same plants over and over. this of course is coming straight from PvZ2 where there are 100+ plants to use on any level to any capacity. i thought with the introduction of a new game it would come with new plants and mechanics that improve what the last game didn’t have. i’m hopeful that the game will be fun and i have no doubt it will be at full launch i wish they would just continue to use what works and expand. what do you think

I mean pvz 3's challenge comes from the fact you're being dealt a hand of plants from the dev's. Stuff like the squash level would not work in pvz 2 because you can't control the player to only use single use plants. Sure in this model of gameplay, you're not using nearly as much variety than anything in 2, but you're doing more with a single plant. Sometimes less is more

It kinda seems like 3 is attempting to tone back the power-creep nature of PvZ 2 and to return to a meta closer to the 1st game. The game so far has seen a slow introduction of basic plants, none of which are particularly broken like Solar Sage or Shadow Pea and stuff. The zombies have been simplified and buffed in health so that lane micromanagement becomes the focus of gameplay rather than seed-picking strategy. Even the sunflower buff of PvZ 2 has been nerfed back to them only producing 25 sun (or 1, in this equivalent case) per generation, meaning you can't just fill up rows and rows of backliners and mindlessly win levels. All in all, while PvZ 3 is kinda mediocre, I really appreciate the slight shift in gameplay present in these levels. My hope is that eventually the game will have monthly or quarterly free updates that each bring back a returning plant that's balanced to fit the PvZ 3 meta, as well a bonus side campaign with 20-50 new levels to play with. PeaS: this is coming from a guy that although loved the power creep nature of 2 (grinded arena mode over the summer), appreciates the more relaxed approached 3 is taking.

Zack, no offense, but some of the "hard level" aren't supposed to be hard, you just have to play them smarter, for example level 28, you need to immediately plant walnuts, as you already have sun, so the only thing affecting how many you can place is cooldown, so don't waste time!

Zack here’s a strategy put squash at the end of the line the first zombie is and put sunflowers on every other line to stall out sun so you could setup more things than have to wait

...Nah it's not that. The game is in softlaunch so it just isn't available in most countries (duh) The game isn't great but it does have some redeeming qualities in the artstyle and characters. You can't go wrong with classic PvZ gameplay, although it seems you can't choose your seeds in this incarnation of the game.
