In the video, I mentioned it supports the Logitech Crayon but it seems its only meant for the Apple Pencil or a size similar to the Apple Pencil. The Logitech Crayon may be too big for the strap to close securely.

Even with the Apple Pencil there’s a tad bit of resistance when closing the flap. You have to actively make sure it catches the magnet sometimes.

Got this for my husband for Christmas so he’s been using it for about 3 months. There were no reviews then so great that you did one! He’s said that it makes his iPad more bulky and more than a few times he’s thought it was charged when it wasn’t since it doesn’t tell you. So the other day he had to put it on the charger while using it and was annoyed. He also finds himself fiddling to get it in the notch when adjusting the viewing angle. He does remove it from the case a lot and uses it with the bumper part to read and I like that it protects the iPad that way and has a slot for the Apple Pencil (which he also has) unlike the Apple Magic Keyboard. I think it’s protective enough and he also has a screen protector. More often than not he has his iPad laying around unattached from the keyboard part and I’m always putting it back in because I’m paranoid about exposed screens! But now that you can get the Magic Keyboard for $100 less I’m thinking of getting that one that we can both use.

It’s on sale now on Walmart for 62 bucks, I just got it today and I love it. Not bad for the price. Thank you for showing how to turn on the backlights. The instructions did not state how to turn them on oddly.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I love that I can quickly remove the iPad from the keyboard. The flap that holds the whole thing closed when not using it and carrying it around is great. It does have the 6.6’ drop protection around your iPad which I often need. The keyboard is quiet and nice to use if you are already used to using a laptop keyboard or Magic Keyboard from apple. I originally bought the bigger more expensive keyboard case but found that after the next day the B, V &P no longer worked. I returned it to Jump+ and they replaced it with this one plus a gift card for the difference. I love this little thing.

Having the protection while removing it from the keyboard is a solid plus. It feels better to hold that way rather than no case too.

I have this case also (and I too got my ipad 4 256 on open box for $666); I love the feel of the case while typing and when closed, it looks awesome. This is a very nice keyboard/case for the money for those who do not want to shell out big dough (and I got it on sale for $90).

Benefit of saving money with open box Apple products, it may still have the option to add Apple Care too. The money you saved for purchasing open box can be used towards adding Apple Care insurance.

Thanks for the video. I liked it and you helped me figure out how to turn on the backlights (I didn’t really look that hard). This was totally worth the $110. Charges with my pen in the slot. It doesn’t feel cheap and the keyboard is easy for lap or on a table top. Great for small spaces :)

A Bluetooth mouse makes it easy to navigate too with this keyboard case. But some people don’t mind reaching to the screen.

I was considering getting this keyboard for my iPad Air 4. The biggest deal breaker for me is you lose functionality with the smart connector in the back with the keyboard. I guess it’s hard to do with a detachable keyboard and case. Pretty good features of this product I will just have to choose between the Logitech and magic keyboard. My biggest issue with the Logitech keyboard is the same with yours, it takes up too much space. You also can’t use it on your lap as easy as the magic keyboard.

Yes, the benefit of the Logitech keyboard is the use of the three pin connector which uses the iPads power instead of a separate battery like the Zagg product. Only downside to the Logitech product is the keyboard is not detachable.

I just got the Logitech Combo Touch keyboard for my IPad Air 4th gen. And I would say its awesome, it doesn’t use Bluetooth and it connects like the magic keyboard, you just put the case on and it connects without Bluetooth, that means you don’t have to charge it as long as your iPad us charged. But is is $200. So I would say its worth the extra buck. And even tho it take up space… its not a big difference. This case sucks compared to Logitech….

@@Losbass the benefit of the new Logitech combo touch is it connect via smart connector and has a large trackpad. The only negative with the Logitech is the amount of desk space needed to comfortably use it.

Hello Kee, you don’t need to hold down the power button. Make sure the blue LED light is on, then press & hold the Pro Key Bluetooth 1 until you see the power blue LED pulsating. Next go to your iPads Bluetooth list and select the ZAGG Pro Keys to pair. Once paired, the LED will stop pulsating and fade to off. Please let me know if this helped.

@@joyaclub you can but I would not recommend to use it without the case. The edges of the cover will not protect most of the iPad. The case actually looks thinner in person and makes it feel more comfortable to hold the iPad Air.

The iPad 10th Gen will not work with this case because the 10th Gen is a thicker design. The 10th Gen actually feels better to hold than other iPads. Maybe ZAGG has already made a specific case for 10th Gen because this case will not work.

Mine does lock the screen on closing. But it’s missing the little usb-c to usb-c charging cable.

I would definitely go back to the retailer and ask if you can exchange it for another one in the store or you can just use the iPad Air 4’s charging cable.

I have never noticed any connection issues. Pairing is quick like any Bluetooth device. The smart folio looks better and slim but I prefer the keyboard layout from Zagg.

Are the speaker grills blocked by the ZAGG Pro Keys case? Does it make the sound quality much worse?

My opinion, the sound quality is the same since it’s pushing the sound towards you and you don’t have to worry about blocking the speakers while holding on landscape mode. Without the case, your hands may be blocking the speakers.

That is the cmd button that is used like CTRL button from Windows. Example to copy and paste on iPadOS/MacOS is cmd + c and cmd + v.

It feels protective enough where it feels better holding it with the case rather than without a case. I only attached it back to the keyboard when I need to type a lot or when taking it to work. You don’t need to worry about your hands blocking off the speaker since the case has holes facing you for the sound to sound better.

I am not sure if the Apple Pencil charges with this case on since I did not have one. I had a third party Pencil which only charges via USB-C.

I don’t have access to a iPad Pro 2018 to test but based off the spec sheet found at Apple’s website, the difference in size compared to the iPad Air 4 is by a few millimeters. Best option is to walk into the nearest retailer and ask if you can try the case before purchasing.

I do like the Zagg keyboard but to be honest, I switched to the Apple magic keyboard two months ago because it was on sale for $199. Choosing between Zagg $109 vs Magic $199, I would prefer the magic for an $90 difference. I would not go for the magic Keyboard if it’s back to regular price of $299. Check Amazon if they still have the magic keyboard for $199.

I do not own a 2nd Gen Apple Pencil to test the charging. But the magnet still worked on my $30 stylus pen. It does not charge in the video because it uses a USB C port to charge my pen.

What you can try to do is go to a local store that sells this case, take your iPad and ask if you can test the charging before purchase.

I have not tested the battery life duration. I recently bought the MacBook Air M1 so I plan on gifting it to a family member. iPad is a great device but I got the MacBook Air at a great price.

This case only has two tilt options. It does not have a writing mode tilt. You can always detach the iPad from the keyboard and lay it flat on a table while still having the protection case.

The sound still sounds great with the case. I watch a lot of KZbin videos on it and I always keep the volume level at around 50%-60%. A lot of cases are using the same design where the holes are facing you and not outward. I am going to do a video on the new Targus cover for the Air 4.
