Zahara de los atunes, Spain. 4K Walk tour. Province Cadiz

This small town Zahara de los Atunes (Spain), recognized as an autonomous local entity of the municipality of Barbate, concentrates in its small historic center the Southern light and an excellent gastronomic offer.
Although there are a little more than a thousand inhabitants registered, if you choose a day between June and October and walk through its streets and the vicinity of the urbanizations, that population would have to be multiplied by at least ten. This discreet fishing village, once centered on the almadraba (the art with which the bluefin tuna is caught) today lives, mainly, by and for tourism.
The town of Zahara de los Atunes is located between Barbate and the Roman ruins of Baelo Claudia (Tarifa), so it can be considered on a joint visit with these two places. If you are planning a day trip you will have more than enough time to walk around its historic center, enjoy the beach and eat at one of its excellent restaurants. Their accommodation offer is good so you can also consider spending the night there.
