'אדון הסליחות' - שירה של 100,000 מתפללים במעמד הסליחות' בכותל המערבי, ירושלים, יממה לפני יום כיפור

לקראת יום הכיפורים: יותר ממאה אלף איש השתתפו באירועי הסליחות בכותל
מדובר בפעם הראשונה שבה האירוע המסורתי חוזר למתכונתו המקורית לאחר שנתיים בהן נערך במתכונת מצומצמת בשל הקורונה. במשטרה נערכו בכוחות מתוגברים ורוב הצירים בעיר נחסמו לתנועה. את התפילה הובילו הרבנים הראשיים לישראל, רב הכותל והמקומות הקדושים והפייטן משה חבושה
יממה לפני יום כיפור, יותר ממאה אלף איש השתתפו הלילה (שלישי) במעמד הסליחות המרכזי בכותל המערבי בירושלים. מדובר בפעם הראשונה שבה האירוע המסורתי חוזר למתכונתו המקורית לאחר שנתיים שבהן נערך במתכונת מצומצמת בשל האיסור על קיום אירועים המונים בעקבות התפשטות נגיף הקורונה בישראל. במשטרה נערכו בכוחות מתוגברים ורוב הצירים באזור העיר - נחסמו לתנועה.
את התפילה הובילו הרבנים הראשיים לישראל הרב דוד לאו, הרב יצחק יוסף, רב הכותל והמקומות הקדושים שמואל רבינוביץ' והפייטן הידוע משה חבושה. מדובר במעמד הגדול ביותר בסדרת אירועי סליחות שנערכו בחודש האחרון בכותל המערבי ובכל רחבי הארץ שבהם השתתפו סך של מאות אלפי איש. הלילה, ערב יום כיפור, נחשבת התפילה לשיא של תקופת הרחמים והסליחות.
רב הכותל המערבי והמקומות הקדושים הרב שמואל רבינוביץ פתח את מעמד הסליחות בתפילה ובקריאה לעם ישראל: "במעמד מאחד זה נתפלל לשלום בין איש לרעהו. נתפלל שנצליח תמיד לראות את מעלת חברנו ולא את חסרונם, נתפלל שנהיה מחוברים זה לזה ושייכים זה לזה באחדות, באחווה, באהבה. יש לנו מסורת אחת, יש לנו מורשת אחת, אנשים אחים אנחנו. נקבל על עצמנו מצוות עשה של אהבת חינם, אהבת עם ישראל, אהבת ארץ ישראל ואהבת תורת ישראל. אבינו, מלכנו, תהא השעה הזאת שעת רחמים ועת רצון מלפניך תעלה לפניך תפילתנו ותחדש עלינו שנה טובה".
התפילה הערב תחמה 40 יום של סליחות במנהג הספרדים, וכשבועיים במנהג האשכנזים, במעמד אחד, שמקבץ רבבות מתפללים: נשים וגברים, חילוניים ודתיים. התפילה גם סיימה את תקופת "עשרת ימי תשובה" - הימים שבין ראש השנה ליום הכיפורים הנחשבים לימים משמעותיים במיוחד. לפי המסורת היהודית, בראש השנה נכתב דינו של אדם וביום כיפור נחתם דינו.
הקרן למורשת הכותל פרסמה הודעה שבה בין היתר נכתב כי "הכניסות לעיר העתיקה ולכותל המערבי ייסגרו במידה ויהיו עומסים" וכי "הציבור מתבקש להישמע להוראות משטרת ישראל ולהנחיות הסדרנים לטובת באי הכותל המערבי. כמו כן, העיר העתיקה תהיה סגורה לכלי רכב פרטיים, הציבור מתבקש להגיע בתחבורה ציבורית.
