First actor ever that I am listening to who is talking about Nafs. Nafs is mentioned in both Quran and Hadith, and a servant is commanded to battle against this ill commanding self (Jiahd bin Nafs). Zahid, We love you bro we love you. We all are sinners but best are those who repent. Nafs literally wants to destroy us and following it is entering in to a valley of destruction, but Allah is the best for forgivers towards those who sincerely repent. Marifah is the journey on which one can meet and know their Nafs and make battle /jehad against it.

Once was I watching 10 minutes video of this person which changed my entire life. He quoted a hadith from ibne Maja which summary is " Agra aap k amal tanhaye may drust nahee hai tho allah aap k logo k samnay naik amal ko zaya ker day ga". I also went through a lot in my life, survived a terrosim attack, paralysed for 6 months, mother of a special needs child and now fighting with cancer. You are brave and noble and have everyone's best interest at heart. i feel it's not entirely the fault of a person who's looking at himself in a particular way. it's the people of this society, people who we call friends, relatives, cousins etc. the pressure of looking nice, the fear of getting mocked, the way people get bullied since a very small age, are some of the factors that make a person look at his flaws even when there isn't any. I have a big nose, everyone used to make fun of me even my family. During my childhood i was so conscious, nashukri and heart broken it really shattered my confidence. But now i have learned how to carry my confidence and i have learned i have beautiful nose if it was shaped differently it wont be even suiting my face cut. And people who mock me they are not sayng this all to me but to Allah and his art.
