Man, I love what you are saying after listening to it. You really have deep-dived into this song and its meaning and its meaning to you. You are so right about the Psalms and where it comes from in going to God broken and not understanding why things are happening.

Not even three minutes into the video and I can give you a better story of Zahna than you have. She was fired from Ilia. The band had gotten involved with a person or people (can't remember that exactly) who did not have their best interest as a band in mind. Zahna herself was told to make men fall in love with her on stage (saw that in an interview last year) towards the end of her time in Ilia. There was a lot of manipulation, etc. that happened as you can see. Zahna's song Your Gun, My Knife and its music video to it talks about her personal experience to a degree, but I believe goes further beyond her own experience and is a great warning for anyone who wants to get into the music business. Now Zahna had already considered a solo album on the side and obviously ended up deciding to go solo after being fired from Ilia. Her Taylor Swift cover will not be on her next album. I did ask her about that personally, so I can confirm that information. Her next album will be coming soon, but no date announcement yet on when, but I have heard this year, so here's to hoping it actually happens this year. You mentioned about Ilia playing with passion. Zahna does has passion. I hear it in her songs, her lyrics and sometimes I get teary-eyed listening to her. She's such an amazing talented artist. I've seen her live many times including once before Red For War came out. When I saw her that first time, I already heard and fell in love with her song Underneath. At that show, I believe I preordered Red For War before she even hit the stage. I knew after hearing Underneath and listening to it over and over before that first show that she was an artist I was going to love and I was completely right. I got Red For War and it's a very good first solo album. I expect her next album as a whole to blow Red For War out of the water though I don't know if any of the songs will beat out Your Gun, My Knife for my favorite Zahna song ever, but I will find out at a later date on that. Looking forward to what she puts out next and what you have to say from here on Erase.

Hey! Thank you so much for listening! Yeah I always try to find a good balance of just reacting to the song and also making sure I give a proper introduction for each new artist I react to. As much as I want to react to great Christian music I want to also introduce people to great Christian artists and at least give a summary of who they are. Thanks for all that info. It's really sad that sin has a way of creeping into every industry, even the Christian ones, but I am glad that Zahna was able to create something of her own and thrive 🤘 I have a feeling she's just getting started 🔥
