Sir at 21:23 can’t I divide the whole equation by 3 so that it becomes easier to go further and the x variable with square doesn’t have any constant with it, so if i divide it becomes x^2 +9x - 10/3

@ZAINEMATICS for advanced variation of completing the square for the question (2x-a)^2+b i did it like this: (2x)^2-2(2)(8)+(8)^2-(8)^2+46 (2x-8)^2-64+40 (2x-8)^2-24 Used the algebraic identity of a^2+2ab+b^2 to solve this. Problem is that even though the answer is same the method/working is different. So is the method I am using correct?
