Bhai, the problem i think is Suzuki might not have strong competition in Pakistan and that is the reason they are not giving features and charging a premium even for basic things... Here in India we now 6 airbags mandatory across cars and ABS and EBS as basic features...Also more than 90 percent of the cars are equipped with power windows from their base model.

It should've been a comparison of CKD top of the line alto with JDM not this edition then it'd be justified I'd JDM also not this edition, it had no retractable mirrors, no body kit/no bucket seats/no steering controls/no projection lamps/no parking sensors. One issue you forgot to mention is that Pakistan doesn't have the raw material needed for automotive manufacturing and other components. This is the same reason why CD 70 is the only locally produced bike design. One solution is to import the material required but that would increase the price.

Then Pakistan should shut down it's auto manufacturing industry (which is in fact just auto assembling industry), they could not implement the deletion scheme (gradually lessening of dependence on imported parts) even after so many years. It's better to import cars then to feed these white elephants (it's seths in fact) in the name of local industry.

Pakistani & Japanese variants can be compared only if the price tag is the same. In that case, features must be the same but if in a Pakistani car the features are missing then Suzuki company must be held responsible for deceiving & fleecing the customers. If the prices of both cars are different then Suzuki company cannot be held responsible for the disparity in features. This is because the more you pay you will get the facility of more features.

Mass production of different cars in Pakistan has still not attained the level of scale of the economy. Government tax is almost 50% which is too much to contribute to the overall increase in prices. The deletion level of spare parts of different variants & makes is increasing every year. The 12 assembling plants have decreased their production due to low demand & higher inflation levels in the country. Pak Suzuki is now facing tough competition due to the presence of other players in the market. Only that player will survive which offers a better product in terms of features, mileage & after-sales service throughout the length & breadth of the country. The competition is now balanced & evenly poised in Pakistan.

20 lacs pakistani rupees = 5,26,000 INR and at this price in India we get atleast 1000cc engine and many safety features like ABS, EBD, PARK ASSIST, SEATBELT REMINDER etc etc, so as per India this also can cost you around 256000 rs to 325000 rs max not more than that ( nano was also costing around this price ) including taxes ( in pkr 973000 to 12,35,000).
