I don't remember the episode but I remember the crew was at like a haunted bar in south america I think, and the bar tender was telling Zack about a ghost woman that seduces all the men who to go to the bar and as soon as he said that Zack started acting all horny like he wanted to fuck the ghost and he was like "I'm under her spell... she's tempting me" and it was sooooo uncomfortable to watch

@@MF-R what are you talking about? Aaron is still a part of the crew. And if you're thinking of Nick Groff, he has being doing a bunch of paranormal shows as well such as Ghosts of Shephardtown (townspeople came out and revealed the show was faked), Paranormal Lockdown (also revealed to be faked) and now Death Walker, which is gringy. Nick has never come out and said that GA was faked. Probably cuz this would implicate him as as faking things too. He butted heads with zak on how the show should be. in the end he was fired by Zak and the network because they found out he had been producing another tv show behind their backs. that show was called Ghost Stalkers. It was against the contract.

I went to the Museum of Death in New Orleans, and it had typical stuff I expected like the history of warfare/weapons and (even cooler imo) explanations and displays for things like cremation and autopsies. But a decent chunk of the museum was devoted to true crime, so serial killers ofc but also there was a case they focused on where a family had been murdered, and they showed actual graphic crime scene photos of dead toddlers. It was horrific, and I tell everyone interested to not go for that reason alone.

If the "RIPs" are paying like 80 dollars just to go in a few rooms for like 2 minutes that seems like a waste of money. Maybe they should have a separate tour guide or something for the RIPs so they can actually get their money's worth. The tour guide would be able to take them into the other rooms for longer without having to worry about the regular group wandering off and doing things they aren't supposed to. And then the regular group also wouldn't have to wait awkwardly for things to continue. But also they might have to hire more tour guides so they probably don't want to spend more money on that.

I had the exact same thoughts and came to the same conclusion, saving money. That said, they could just potentially only run the rip tours at certain times instead. Like instead of 6 mixed tours a day, you do 4 regular tours and 2 rip?

i actually went to the museum myself in september after having a desire to for so long and honestly feel the same. in fact, id even go as far to say that i genuinely regret spending my money to go at all (and unfortunately spent the extra for the rip ticket). some of the rooms you mention in the video are partly why i feel this way, but was mostly surprised to hear you didn’t mention the torture room. it honestly makes me sick just thinking about it. the guide i was with did forewarn the party that anyone who wanted to skip the room, could, and said there would be very graphic depictions of sexual violence in that room. i didn’t go, but somehow, my friend did- and so my account is a very brief retelling of his: that zak had put a bed in the torture room and displayed a mannequin on it in a very compromising position and the video went on to explain tragedies young men had endured at the hands of robert berdella while showcasing the instruments and tools he used to commit these crimes- some even on the mannequin. he came out of there sobbing. and the fact they house sharon tates wedding dress right down the hall from the true crime room where they have some of charles mansons remains makes my blood boil to this day. while i did have some things i did enjoy, and some strange happenings occurred, overall, i hated having gone and don’t really recommend it to anyone anymore.

I totally agree. I felt that way after visiting the museum of death in LA, it was a super interesting experience, and it taught me a lot about empathizing with the victims/victim's families. It's really altered the way I consume true crime/darker media, so I think that there are a lot of opportunities for different takeaways from experiences with exhibitions like this. I agree, it's absolutely rancid how Zak does his job/publicity bullsh*t. And I don't think that this museum (or the one in LA) is a healthy depiction of the way hauntings/death work, because it really focuses on monetization, as opposed to learning from the incidences depicted here. (Prevention, political/law related impact, historical significance, social impact, etc.) (Hopefully this was like a "hey I relate to this, and I agree on these points!" and not a total person-splaining post)

@@orionoldroyd459 absolutely. museums are fantastic venues to educate, and zaks is anything but. it's a house where people can come to gaze at his trophies, nothing more, and i realized that way too late. especially with most of the rooms having articles displayed about how zak was able to aquire "x" item for "y" amount of money. it doesn't help that because of this, and they way some of the rooms are talked about, that it allows for certain people to basically laugh through this whole experience or take anything displayed with the least amount of severity/sincerity. its so unfortunate because these places have so much potential, but are reduced to attractions at the end of the day. super sad.

i'm so happy you made a longer video about this!! i loved hearing your thoughts during the vegas trip video, as someone who's been watching ghost adventures on (and now mostly off) for years. they've always overexaggerated or just straight up lied about stuff in their episodes, and it just seems to become a bigger and bigger problem as the seasons go on. I was always curious about the museum since the episodes that took place there usually had a weird vibe. I always thought his room full of serial killer items was weird, but he would always pas it off as being drawn to or influenced by dark energies and that somehow by having like JWG's teeth there or smth is a good thing.

I went here in 2019! It was really weird. I don’t remember an RIP option at the time, I don’t think that was around then. My mom and I went and were expecting a real museum-esque experience. Instead it was very short moments in rooms, with not much time to look at things, sandwiched by jumpscares. Like at the beginning in the doll room, someone would be asked to be the first volunteer to see a doll they kept around the corner and a little person would jump out and chase them back into the main room. In the clown room, there would be like 50 -75 mannequin clowns and the last one was a real person posing who would jump out at you. They didn’t spend as much time discussing the amount of money spent to obtain items, but all the employees were really nice. Near the middle there was a live “freak show” which was cool, but less than 5 minutes. Zak Bagans was leaving as we got there, and I met him in the hallway as he was leaving, but I was also a Ghost Hunter girl 😂

I am a skeptic, but I was a Museum Studies major in college, and I can't imagine how badly you have to plan in order to biff a haunted objects museum. I'd imagine there are so many opportunities for collecting items with interesting backstories, and those backstories would be insanely interesting to pair with the objects, and instead to focus on celebrity items and tragic items is so weirdly off that it seems totally on-brand for Bagans.

When I first watched Ghost Adventures, I found it incredible that Zack got all that evidence each investigation. How was it that he got it and the others (i.e. Ghost Hunters) didn't and debunked a lot. As I continued to watch, I realized how Zack dominated most of the camera time. Then Nick Groff suddenly left the show....no explanation. Aaron and the others were usually delegated the less "haunted" areas. My conclusion was, and this is just my own opinion, this is a show about Zak Bagans. The hauntings, if verifiable, are incidental to Zak's camera time. I no longer watch Ghost Adventures, having become disillusioned by the whole thing. Sorry Zak fans.

One of the big haunted objects in the "haunted museum" is the dybuk box, and as a orthodox jew this is one of the biggest bullshit I have ever seen in my entire life. Dybuks are not malevolent spirits, there simply souls that cannot monve on into the afterlife, so it laches it's self to anything and to anyone, so it can elevate itself to heaven, by fixing whatever they did wrong in there life It doesn't mean there evil, and we don't put them into boxes Holly shit I hate this sooo much, because people think dybuks are some spooky scary demons when it simply is not

I am a Las Vegas native and probably close to double the age of most here. I also have been dealing with my gifts since I was 14. Once Zac had his show, I would get in arguments with zac's 'people' whoever they were... about him showing all kinds of tools for anyone to ghost hunt. He also made it look like ghost just run out everytime he shows up. What was and still is dangerous is anyone who is not fully aware that not all entities are grandma. Many are demons love to step into the door Zac opens via young, inexperienced people. He also angred me by supposedly clearing out entities from people's homes then just leaving them to fend for themselves. Zac is now and has always been a liar regarding the paranormal. He is also full of it regarding satanic rituals at the old Wengert house. None of that happened. He has harmed the paranormal community tremendously. He is an egotistical bloated bag of poo. He has survived this long because of his looks and his gab. But don't be fooled. He has love only for Money.

I don’t know a lot about this stuff but I’m curious. You mention how Zac “clears” entities from their homes then leave them to fend for themselves, what do you mean by that? Do you mean it in more of a Zac just doesn’t know what he’s doing so the house isn’t “cleared”? If not that and he did “clear” the house, what do they have to fend themselves off from? Are there possibilities of those entities coming back if like not actually properly cleared (since he’s not a professional lol) or do entities just come back regardless and need constant “clearing”? Sorry I know this comment is like months old but I’ve always been curious about this stuff

Your points are spot on to how I felt when I went back in October. I saw a lot of suggestions to go so I assumed it would be worth it but it really isn’t. The celebrity room you talk about is so uncomfortable. “You know that movie where Robin Williams deals with suicide and then he does so in real life?? We have the jacket from that movie. Oh, and you know how sad it was that Heather O'Rourke from ‘The Poltergeist’ died?? We have some of her homework framed on the wall.” Why? How is this not disrespectful? And the tour is absolutely not ADA compatible for wheelchairs. The person on my tour could walk/stand for short amounts of time and could enter the rooms their chair could not, but at one point they had to be completely separated from the rest of the group and finish the tour “virtually” because the places we were being taken weren’t accessible for them. Do not go to this place; it is not worth your time or money. The only “haunting” that took place was that the rest of the day I would randomly smell the fake smoke scent they had pumped the Al Capone room with.

I watch Ghost Adventures all the time with my dad so we can make fun of it and… it sure is an adventure. He thinks almost everything remotely “evil” is “demonic.” He also uses the word “debunked” way too much, and it doesn’t make sense! He’ll say “We debunked this as being the voice of Amy!” or something, but that’s not the correct use?! He also dramatizes EVERYTHING and he gets possessed WAY TOO OFTEN! And whenever someone figures something out, Zak finds a way to make it seem like he was the one who did it. I’m pretty sure this show is just all for attention.

When we left tho my brother was COVERED in scratches, including a huge one on his jaw - we hadn’t noticed them when we were in there. I remember visiting all the rooms mentioned but there was nothing about RIPs or the flatscreen TVs, or the haunted clown house aspect, seems like it got a lot more gimicky in the last few years.

I dated the stepdaughter of Robin Williams mentor--a man who was also my Shakespeare teacher. Robin funded a sizable portion of my theatre education--and while I didn't know him personally, like many many others I feel a personal connection to him. The fact that I was diagnosed with a complex vascular brain disorder four years ago only increases that. (Yes, I know, not a one-to-one with Lewy Body, but still.) I have a huge issue with the way that death is often exploited snd commodified, especially when it comes to the Ted Bundy fandom types. Bu the way that people salivate over Robin Williams' death is extra brutal for me. Every day of my life I do what I refer to as "morbid math,"....trying to figure out if I am going to manage to stick around long enough to raise my little girl, how much money do I spend on my medical stuff versus our general living expenses as a single disabled and chronically ill mum, etc. It feels like people are just really fucking out of touch and heartless when they profit off of a type of absolute devestation and trauma they clearly cannot empathize with.

I went to the Haunted Museum just before the pandemic hit (like December 2019) and this VIP/RIP thing wasn't in place when I went. When I went I bought a regular $40 ticket, I got to go into the doll closet, I got to feed $1 into the Zak Bagans Zoltar machine (the opportunity to give the museum more money! wow!), and I got to stare into the skull. I'm wondering if the RIP thing was put in place because when I went, it was up to the tour guide to randomly select people in the group for these bonus experiences and my tour guide, for whatever reason, picked me for EVERYTHING and I heard people grumbling about it (rightfully so, I would've been pissed if it hadn't been me!), so maybe this new RIP thing was created so if people want the extra experiences, they can pay more. But having experienced them, I promise it was not worth an extra $40.

it's sad for my Nostalgia Brain™️ to see the mood of ghost adventures shift over the years. initially it felt genuine and had a lot of character and heart, but now it's no different from any other reality tv. compare that with ghost hunters. they came to my city for a haunted library. they gave it a fair chance, but were upfront about how all these apparitions were definitely just light coming through the windows (the library is next to a busy road, so think of semi headlights at night). Less exciting for tv, but it definitely helps build your reputation as a reliable source.

First and foremost how exploitative it is, like you aslo said about this museum so is the show. And also how contrived and fake it is. I'm not really a believer anymore but I still think the paranormal is interesting. Just a shame it's been exploited and disrespected so much. I took my son to the Haunted Museum in June last year. Not only was it hotter than Hell itself, they had no a/c on which caused my son to have to leave the tour early because he was hot and began to feel sick. I'm surprised that they didn't mention that the house apparently once belonged to Jenna Jameson's family. That was a point they made when we got to the basement. It was all dramatic about how she believed there was an evil in the house and that it affected her family when she was a kid or something like that. I have to agree that the haunted circus was the best part. Everyone on our tour had a WTF moment when we heard the circus music and then saw the miniature scene. I think we all wanted to stay in the room with the freak show performer, his words not mine. He was really cool and after doing some stunts, he chatted with a few of us. The one prop I will give is the employees were really nice and helpful. My son, who is an adult and disabled, had taken an Uber back to our hotel, but he couldn't tell me because guess what? Phones had to be turned off. The guys outside helped me try to track him down and were really comforting while I was losing my shite. All in all, I completely agree that this place isn't worth the money and it seemed more like a huge storage facility for oddities that Zak has collected over the years.

I mean, I don't know anything about this museum, but if they're including a "dybbuk box" in their collection as a paranormal artifact, they have no integrity. For anyone who doesn't know, the idea of a dybbuk box was made up by a random dude selling a cabinet on eBay in the early 2000s who roughed it up, did a weird carving, and wrote up a nonsense story about Polish Holocaust survivors being tormented by an evil spirit and trapping it in the cabinet (which story I frankly don't like the vibes of and think is somewhat inappropriate, but I wouldn't suggest it was done with actively exploitative intent). I don't know if the box in Bagans's collection is The Box or one of the imitators that piled on after, but if it's being presented as anything other than an interesting relic of internet folklore, that's being done in bad faith because the original hoaxster has spoken very publicly about making everything up. A dybbuk is a real type of evil spirit from Jewish tradition, but they are exclusively depicted as possessing people -- there's no basis within any Jewish theology for trapping one in an inanimate object. Obviously no criticism applies if the museum is being honest about the (non-paranormal) origin and (extremely recent) history of their so-called dybbuk box, but if not, it's a major red flag that they're not even willing to put in a minimum of effort to pretend to be honest or trustworthy. And I sort of suspect they aren't, if people are claiming to have paranormal experiences with the object.

I feel the same way. I liked the spooky items. However, the "display" that most angered me on my tour was one that featured a bed from a Kansas City serial killer where he tied his victims down to a bed and tortured him on said bed, and our tour guide let us know the mattress is stained with blood and fecal matter from his victim on said bed. I'm sorry: that's actually awful. That victim was murdered in a HORRIFIC way, and now Zak is charging you 50 dollars minimum to gawk at the stains of his murder. He's essentially being victimized again, and Zak is monetizing it. I'm all about creepy items. and weird macabre artifacts: don't show me someone's horrible final moments and make a profit off it. It's gross. It's wrong. And it's so disrespectful to what that person had already had to suffer through to get those stains you're charging 50 bucks ahead for.

If you’re interested in non-exploitative true crime / creepy museums, graveface records in Chicago or Savannah is amazing. It’s a museum featuring old circus photos and history, oddities and taxidermy of unique animals like two headed deer and such, and a section on serial killers and cult leaders. just super informative and educational exhibits, the tour guides never glorify any of the disturbing content and victims / bodies / crime scenes are never shown. The museum is actually working to re-open the case on John Wayne Gacy and get justice for the many families of his victims who never did. Sorry I sound like I’m advertising loll but it’s one of my favorite museum experiences and I think true crime museums and exhibits should always be handled in this way but rarely are.

If you haven’t watched Twin Paranormal, I highly recommend that show! I love how alternative their looks might be in some circles coupled with them being the most polite, sweet and genuine guys! Also, you can tell how much they truly care about each other, the owners, any guests and the spirits…so worth watching IMO!!

As a small business owner, thank you! It’s always important to support local and online small businesses or they won’t be able to stick around.

I got tired of Zak threatening to beat his team mates and then faking a possession. Ghost Adventures makes a mockery of the real people out their.
