Hell yeah it does! I used to suck but man did it pay off to play for hours and never gave up despite haters that doubted me. Now i feel confident to play in front of anybody. I just zone in and let it flow. Zakk wylde is a beast and def one of my guitar icons.

I think he was gonna slow inot it , but the damn mic wasn't working. so he had to improvise. then that damn stage tech fumbled the damn mic. He was probably getiing pissed...and then he forgot the words for a minute. so he shredded some of those signature licks until he remembered the first line. Sevyn Smoth hold notes out, feel the notes more, just cos the mic doesn't work doesn't mean you have to play a million notes per second. I love zakk and his playing but with this type of backing track and his playing it just doesn't work for me. I know zakk can play less shreddy and with more feel. It calmed down about 2/3 of the way through tho so I can respect that. He has an amazing voice

Sorry, this is not any special tribute to Les Paul. As a matter of fact, Les Paul's music was just the opposite of what Zakk is doing here. Speed picking a major scale and then running it through a wah pedal heavily laced with chorus, delay, phase, distortion and jacking up the volume is not musically challenging, it's just getting your fingers and hands to move fast enough. Sure, Zakk is the Master of this stuff, but it isn't the same thing as Les Paul's style. I think David Gilmour is better suited to give a tribute to Les. Pick your notes carefully, play them as cleanly and make the most out of them. A little reverb and a touch of delay to provide some depth and texture, and let your fingers do the talkin'. Zakk is just doing parlor tricks here. I love Zakk, and I do think he has added a great deal to metal and the guitar. Just telling you how it is from my point of view.

I had honor to be owner of Gibson SG Gothic with Les Paul signature on it, what happened about 12 years ago my buddy and his wife went to see Les Paul at Iridium in New York performing and he took his Les Paul Professional with him for Les to sign it and I sent piece of cover located just above nut on headstock and couple calendars for me and another friend for Les to sign, so I still have my Gibson with legend Les Paul signature, I just feel sorry I never had time to go and see him personally, life is to demanding and short.

With all due respect to Zakk Wylde and his amazing chops, please dial the shredding back about 1/4 - 1/3 and stick to the nuanced, subtle emotion and vibe of the song.
