this is probably the most baffling kit that they've made P-Bandai yet, sure original kits like Woundwort or Todesritter being peeb is one thing but from what I know, these are popular suits and they play an integral role in Wing's story (development of the Virgo) and they decided to make it premium Bandai

Man the color separation is so much better than the old kits. I built (and painted) both kits and it was so rough. The Mercurius I didn't bother with 90 percent of the seam lines and just used it as more or less a practice piece. I went all out or at least tried to on the vayeate and it was rough. Unfortunately it fell and the antenna piece broke and I never found so I got mad and left it as is. Didn't really get any weathering done besides some hairspray chipping on that one. Glad I managed to get my hands on these new versions. They are going to look much nicer by the time I'm done with them.

The old no grade 1/144 scale kit is probably smaller because it is actually 1/144 scale while the new HGAC kit is most likely 1/132 scale.

These twins are among my favourite designs in G-Wing and I am having a very hard time deciding whether to or not-buy. The old kits can be recovered with a lot of joint modding and changes to the lower leg. At the high price-point due to P-Bandai (thus, scalping) it's a hard sell when i) the Mercurius having such a weak beam effect part [biggest gripe] ii) limited articulation because of simplified joints iii) no clear parts for the head camera iv) relying on stickers for the Vayeate's backpack 'heat sink', v) hollow under-foot. vi) really stingy with the hands there. But they're accurate and updated! Cost-benefit ratio calculations are going on and on in my head. #lifeIsHard #FWP

I've built the Mercurius, still have to build the Vayeate. So far I'm pretty satisfied with the result. I'm still pretty irked that the Mercurius did not receive a more appropriate beam effect for the crash shield.

Look at the runners again. There are slots on some of the runners where they plan on removing parts. They're probably going to use this kit to make the Virgo.

@@ZakuAurelius I thought so, but unfortunately no, virgo has much different feet shape and weapons. I'd bet my money on suivants, they could also use them for their g-unit project. But I'd be glad if I'm wrong, because I'd love to see all OZ grunts first ^^

They still periodically reprint the NG kits. They did a run in mid 2020 including the G-Unit kits so you just have to keep an eye out for them.

I don't know Zak. You keep pressing the point that is a HG Leo based kit, but I'm just not seeing it. This is a completely different kit. It's like comparing a Zaku to a Gelgoog... They're not even close to the same thing. I wouldn't have minded getting these but I missed the chance to get these from P-Bandai.
