Shimada Humikane is one of the first guys that made mecha musume designs starting in the 2000 and helped a lot to make it popular. He also made the first designs for bosou shinki and others for like frame arms girls and alice gear aegis.

Technically Mika akitaka designed MS girls in 1982, which makes Gundam the origins of the mecha musume genre.

Nice!!! I was praying to get your review of this kit because i freaking love Shimada Humikane The name might not be familiar but Fumi is the artist who makes all of the box art for 30MS and like 80%+ of the Frame Arm Girls box arts as well (last week Miku kits are his designs) he's the creator of Strike Witches and also designed characters for Girls und Panzer, Kantai Collection (all of the german ships), Busou Shinki, etc Basically he has done a ton of great stuff and is a great inspiration for a lot of people (ofc me included) As always, Thanks for the review, can't wait to grab this kit

He is the father of Busou Shinki too, one of the alphas and omegas of girlpla and such.

When I saw a facebook post that USA Gundam had restocked this figure kit, I instantly went and bought it. Literally. I rushed over to the site and hammered on that purchase button. This is one of my favorite models i've built to date. I actually wanna get paints to touch it up so it can look even better. I never do that so it must say a lot about this kit that I wanna do it now.

I really wish there were more clothing options for this. I love how realistic and grounded all the clothes and equipment looks but all the exposed skin really clashes with it and I'm not a fan. A setup similar to the Ludens where you can make it as skimpy as you want would be preferable imo.

You can always use 1/10 & 1/12 doll clothes or you can also paint the body make it like it have tight suit or something like that or even use other frame arms girl body.

I felt the same way, so for mine I added a pleated skirt from Eastern Model and modified the chest with styrene and putty to give her a short T-shirt under her jacket. Now she looks like she's going to an anime con instead of a gravure shoot ;-)

Im really glad i managed to pre-order her (and her alt colored release), seeing her assembled in good high def really puts her on the higher tier of the MD girls. She's really much simpler but actually nicer looking compared to the over-designed MD girls. I fell in love with the uniform look and the rifle in particular. Love the fact you get extra parts for the arms too, seems like a good part swap for other kits as a bonus.

Not that super popular from what I know (the stock is still available on most of marketplace) they probably just want to squeeze as much as possible

I personally like the build and plastic quality of the 30MS better, but the design is definitely unique

It's javelin missile launcher. And you can also buy the javelin itself separately as it is different product from different company (it's little armory product). Just this time they bundle it together for the alt colour.

@@priyobudihutomo704 I got it the other way around. Arsia alt has a javelin. Little armory has a stinger. Little armory doesn’t have a javelin iirc.

How tall is this figure? Amazon said it's 40cm high, that is the size of the wide of my window.

The clothing design is so nonsensically anime fanservice, it kinda rolls over to looking good. The mask and the jacket remind me of Code Vein, which also has an overly anime military clothing aesthetic.

This design is more akin to the Ground Witches from the World Witch series. Really a shame that we don't get more adaptations of the World Witch series but I guess people just like ariel ass shots of girls in underwears that Strike Witches is still relevant.

Uuuughhhh... I bought this without really looking closely at it, and it's definitely a painter's kit. Almost all of the parts are the wrong color out of the box. It has almost none of the details shown in the art. If you want this one to look like anything other than a greenish blob with flesh tones, you're gonna need paint and detailed paint at that. Whyyyyyyyyyyyy?
